Journey Into Spring: Spectacular Trails and Scenic Views in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California
Winter hiking in seoa and Kings Canyon National Park the Western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains offer spectacular hiking trails a perfect destination for winter hiking back to the aqueduck on this occasion we found ourselves hiking up the marble Fork of the Kaa River to Marble Falls so grab your favorite snack
And beverage and enjoy the adventure hi good morning hi good morning would you guys like a mapping guide today yes please let me get that here for you guys and I hope you all have a fun day great you too thanks a lot thank you all right just got the map just got
The guide we’re in seoa National Park it is February of 2024 more and there is a ton of snow up in the higher elevations so what we’ve realized actually is that there’s still quite a bit of hiking you can do here even in the winter time so
We’re going to head to the potwisha area because in the Foothills there’s a ton of hiking and we’re going to head that Way all loaded up and we found a trail head Marble Falls Trail River’s in the back Daddy’s up front and chuch came she came came so we’re going to head up this Trail it’s a gorgeous gorgeous day and I believe it just kind of follows the Marble Canyon or marble river river
Through here so should be a lot of fun again absolutely perfect weather probably 65 66° sun is out and we’re looking forward to enjoying the winess this is really neat we’ve just started out and we’ve come across this Aqueduct that intercepts the trail so cool must be bringing water in
I guess to potwisha area or maybe maybe even the town of Three Rivers So we’re starting to gain some elevation and the views are starting to come out as well off in the distance this hike is much more Scenic than I thought it would be I thought we’d kind of be Meandering through the like a tree tunnel almost but it’s uh it’s actually quite
Beautiful just so happy to be outside back in the Sierra in February hiking of all times so really really Blessed So we’re right along the trail going up and it looks like there is some wild berry bushes early season so no real buds yet Just came around the bend and the trail starting to open up and I think the waterfall is kind of around that bend over there so we’re going to go through here up and over and I think it’s right around the bend very excited and I have to be really quiet
Because got a little sleeper back Here So I was told we’re about 3/4 of the way and we’re just coming around the final Bend where the waterfall should be revealed and it’s supposed to be really spectacular um it’s several hundred feet high and in all of its Glory cuz it’s a pretty warm day lots of snow above that’s
Melting so looking forward to seeing how raging this waterfall is and of course River loves waterfalls don’t you And it’s time for some peanut butter sandwiches bread peanut butter you ready for a peanut butter sandwich ribs are you ready peanut butter sandwiches River what is this is it very squishy very Well three peanut butter sandwiches later and we’re heading back ah enjoyed the Falls now we’re going to head back in see what else we can get up To This is really convenient too you have the trail head right here and potwisha Campground so not a bad place if you’re going to do some car camping Camp there and then hike up pretty good location just finished the hike and we’re going to have nice ice cold beverage at the Three Rivers Brewing
Company why not I think we’ve earned it today especially me after carrying River what do you think after carrying 40 lbs of toddler meat eating baby Boy TR That’s Yeah [Applause] he [Applause] with [Applause] thech [Applause] that [Applause] [Applause]

Didn't see much good hiking videos in last few weeks, watching yours while having my Easter lunch, not bad. Thanks for sharing.👍
