Witches, great food, gorgeous villages in SIERRA NEVADA
I actually didn’t know this! We’re Sandra and Håkan. In this vlog we encountered a lot of witches visited a chocolate factory and spent the evening in one of the most beautiful villages in the seattle nevada region on our way to explore some of the most beautiful villages here in seattle nevada we had to make a stop here at sopotoucar a village known for its witches we done some research to why this city is known for its witchcraft there was a revolution that made the moors lose their power and they needed to repopulate the cities in sierra nevada people from the north moved here and they had different rituals culture and some of them was quite dark and that made the locals a little suspicious and today all the locals had made the most of it turning it into a tourist attraction and they really gone all in every house has some witch or witch-related item on it even the numbers on the house have witches on them apart from being filled with witch stuff this village is really beautiful there are loads of tiny alleyways with taverns we can get some tapas and some wine it’s a really cozy village we had to stop for a quick bite to eat as usual in spain when we ordered beverages we were offered free tapas but we didn’t really know if this was meat or not so we were a little picky i’m sorry but we did order some lunch spanish tortilla with cheese oh it’s so good it’s potatoes cheese some eggs i think a little onion i wonder where we will be going next i haven’t seen sandra walk this fast in a long long time so this might have been the house of chocolates i think it’s a gingerbread house you are right there are some gingerbread figures just outside of town we found the cave called eye of the witch from here the witches lure children who wandered off from the village using treats and drag them into the cave let’s check it out when you think of witches you think of these witches that they have back in the town here with the broomstick and the kettle but it actually used to be real serious business here in europe at least when we go back a couple of hundred years to the 15th to 17th century mostly women were accused of being riches often they had medical knowledge but they were accused of being witches by christians and they were burned alive not a piece of history that europe should be proud of now we’re going to where we’re actually going to three white villages here in sierra nevada and they’re supposed to be absolutely gorgeous these roads are not for the faint-hearted they’re so windling it’s they have to be concentrated every second it’s really narrow and there’s a lot of cars here and a lot of turns we’re in the first of the three white villages here in alphusada and they are known for its crafts and they have a chocolate factory so guess where we’re going first that’s where we’re heading and this time it’s a really chocolate house oh you can smell the sweet chocolate from here just behind the shop they have the factory we just asked if we could go inside and film fingers crossed unfortunately no we can’t film in there has to do with hygiene and regulations yeah so of course makes sense now we’re trying to decide what to buy we’re gonna have one of these bars and one of these plugs the right chocolate with almond and i also think we’re gonna have some dark chocolate and we’re gonna have ice cream oh it’s so good a white shot with a dark chocolate pampanara is known for its rugs and these are so thick heavy and in all these bright colors just like all the places we visited in the sierra nevada region this is absolutely gorgeous all these alleyways the restaurants the atmosphere is just so picturesque this one has 340 inhabitants it’s not a big village real quick we have recently partnered up with ivisa simply because we really appreciate the service that they second village because it’s so small and we ended up in capellera where we are staying for the night and we have checked in and i have made a reservation at the romantic room i didn’t know that and the reception said there will be a surprise oh look at this oh we actually have spread out rose petals on the floor we got swans towel swans oh i never had this before are you sure that this is by accident i think i found a surprise we got a bottle of akava oh look oh oh so nice yes it’s cold i actually didn’t know this but it’s so good we definitely made a right choice going directly to our hotel because that means we get to spend some time by the pool it’s so lovely it’s been really warm today so cooling off in the pool we had a quick shower and now we’re heading out into the city to explore and to find something to eat from little we’ve seen so far there’s no shortage of restaurants it’s been a long day and we are quite hungry so we ended up at this very nice restaurant and for dinner we’re having the traditional tapas so we’re having pan it’s red encelada pimientos roasted pepper salad oh something is coming oh great wow a platter of olives and a selection of cheese as a red wine i think we made a mistake there is tuna on the red pepper salad so we have to pick it out but still it looks delicious oh it’s so sweet and still you can taste it’s roasted we are about to have a great dinner we’ve had such a great dinner and as you can see it lasted a long time it’s already dark outside so we’re gonna head back to the hotel and enjoy the cover and the chocolate that we bought earlier today bye bye romantic room good morning yesterday when we came back to our hotel we just crashed into bed and now we have checked out from the hotel we can really recommend it not just because of the romantic touch but also the stock was really sweet they have a pool and the breakfast oh it was so good we’re gonna leave a link in the descriptions if you’re ever coming to capillera you should definitely check out this hotel i really like this gymnast i think they look like ghosts with hats we’re gonna take a walk around the village and really soak in all the magnificent sights we’ve only been at a couple places here in the sierra nevada region and this region is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in the whole world a couple of months back we visited lancaron also here in the sierra nevada region and we celebrated san juan we had a blast if you haven’t watched that video we will put a link here somewhere next week next sunday we will be doing more exploring of andalusia thank you for watching today subscribe follow us on the journey see you
Who knew an encounter with witches 🧙♀️ would end up in romance 💕
On our way to the white villages in Alpujarra, driving on serpentine roads, we made a stop in Soportújar. A city known for it’s witchcraft.
Walking trough the cosy village of Soportújar, there is a surprise around every corner, and you can almost here a cackle from the Hansel and Gretel House, also known as the Casa de Caramelos (Caramel House). 🐉🐜🧙♀️🕷
It’s a fun place to visit for the whole family, but children better behave, or els the witches will trough them in the cave called Eye of the witch 🙀

The first white village of three in a row is Pampaneira. A beautiful place, known for its craft, for example rugs, and they also have a chocolate factory! 🍫🍭 Looking through a window you can see the making of the chocolate, and they let you taste some of it. We bought some bars of the finest delicious handmade chocolate. 😋

Accidentally, we drove through the next village, Bubión. The road was to narrow to turn around on, so we continued to Capileira, where we spend the night.
Capileira is a gorgeous village, with the long chimneys, characteristic for the region, looking a little like ghosts wearing a hat 👻, at least I think. Here is a lot of restaurants, where you can refill after a long existing day. Hiking is a most popular activity in this region. 🏃♂️🏃♀️
It turned out that I had made a reservation for the romantic room, without knowing it, The surprise waiting for us in the room, was really a surprise! 🥰 We had such a nice stay at the Hotel Real de Poqueira! The staff was so sweet, and the breakfast was excellent!
