Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, Truckee, CA. July 2024 #travelinspiration

Above Donner Lake, on Donner Pass Road, are some incredibly cool views and tunnels. The tunnels were constructed by Chinese laborers to connect the transcontinental railroad to the west coast and were in use by the railroad companies until 1993.

There’s plenty of parking off Donner Pass Road and the walk is uneven but mostly flat.

When we travel, we publish daily Postcards from the Road and send physical postcards to our newsletter subscribers. Sign up on our website: https://www.zekeandterri.com/
