Central Cal Hiking: Frog Lakes, Inyo National Forest, Hoover Wilderness, CA (Narrative Version)

Hiking Frog Lakes, Sierra Nevada Mountains, Inyo National Forest, Hoover Wilderness, CA.
While escaping the forest fire smoke, I found a completely smoke free area by driving north. I found myself in the Virginia Lakes area, where I had not been before. So with a little novelty excitement added to the mix, I headed off on the trail. The hike goes past all the lakes to a pass with a great viewpoint down onto the lakes. I chose, instead, to simply visit the lakes (which cut the overall hike by at least half). This turned out to be a nice leisurely day in the Sierras. Nothing wrong with that!
