The **Plaza de España** in Seville is an iconic landmark located in the **Parque de María Luisa**. It was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, designed by architect **Aníbal González**. The plaza is renowned for its impressive semi-circular design, extensive use of **Moorish Revival** and **Renaissance Revival** architecture, and its large fountain at the center.

Surrounding the plaza is a canal that visitors can explore by boat, earning it the nickname “the Venice of Seville.” The Plaza de España also features beautiful ceramic tilework, including alcoves representing different provinces of Spain. Today, it houses government offices and is a popular tourist destination.
