July 2024 – Cottonwood Lakes Backpacking – Sierra Nevada
Here is a short video of my recent overnight backpacking trip that I did in the Cottonwood Lakes in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was July 2024 and the weather was perfect. The hiking wasn’t bad though the final portion up Old Army Pass was tiring after lugging my gear all the way to the lakes (I’m still pretty new to longer hikes and higher elevation).
Overall, it was a great time with incredible views and serene landscapes. I could see myself doing a multi-night trip here and also visiting Mount Langley, which is just under 14000ft.
