How unbelievable does Formentera look in July?

I left Ibiza for a day and went to Formentera, Formentera is the smallest of Spain’s Balearic islands in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s reachable by ferry from Ibiza, and makes for a popular day-trip destination in the summertime. It’s known for its clear waters and long stretches of beach backed by dunes and pine trees. Pastimes include snorkeling and sailing, with equipment rentals and boat charters available, there are many hotels in Formentera & lots of the best beach restaurants in the world. Juan Y Andrea sits in the dunes on Illetes beach, one of the best in Formentera, and often named as the best in Europe. The restaurant is instantly recognisable by the four huge palm trees surrounding it, which are the only trees on the beach. It was established in 1971 by a local fisherman and his wife, and was originally a small seafood shack but is now a large restaurant with a huge shaded ‘terrace’ with tables directly on the sand.

  1. How often does the ferry leave from Ibiza? Definitely something to do this summer when in Ibiza as something people perhaps wouldn’t usually do!

  2. Last year I went in a date with this random girl I met in the formentera bus — aqua bus … we ended up going to el pirata kiosk and the year before i went to beso beach . Last year I went to beso beach but just to take pictures because it was so crowded ! Mid July and all … formentera is beautiful and one more thing i have to share — with the crazy 😜 Ibiza vibes … I swam in the ocean while it had a red flag 🚩 flying next to the beach …lol – this was two years ago . The water felt like it was a wall falling and you had to be a strong swimmer . Took pictures ! Ahhh man formentera is amazing ! Kygo has done it justice and some other producers in their songs ! Amazing videos … why you came back so early ??

  3. dude in short, i say this with my heart! amazing .. one thing that I will never stop liking is formentera ibiza. Last year leo messi was at the same table that we sat in pirata kiosk… and also this year rafa nadal was there. Thank you so much for the fresh images… formentera is indeed beutiful.

  4. We love Formentera. We go there at least once within our annual 2 week holiday to Ibiza. Just 10 weeks to go now until our holiday. Hope there are no major changes which prevent us from coming. We have spoken with the hotel manager of the Bellamar and he confirmed that they opened on July 6th.

  5. Hi Dwayne! What's the situation with masks? I just saw something but it's on a newspaper and I can't find anything official. Do you need to wear one all the time now?

  6. Formentera is usually really full of Italian tourists. Have you ever visited Piratabus KM13? It’s a good place for a drink and watch the sunset.
Thanks for the vlogs. Hopefully we’ll get to Ibiza again next year

  7. As Dwayne said why would you leave Ibiza? The answer is only for Formentera. Don’t step off the boat and go to the nearest cycle, bike or car hire. Better deals can be found if you shop around just a short distance from the port first. Public hop on hop off transport is available too. Again, there’s a good supermarket only a short walk from the port, so you can stock up and avoid getting ripped off at the popular beachside restaurants.
