You're absolutely right! The best way to enjoy and appreciate a place is to experience it day and night, particularly if it's not a big city! You get a different perspective.
Nice one Mick. You did forget to mention the Strade Bianchi, a fabulous bike race across the white gravel roads ot Tuscany that finishes in the same square as the horse race. Weirdly, ive just been watching a strge of the Giro that is finishing there as well (from Sunday). Staying for a week nearby so will add the collingwood cathedral to the list.
