MADRID,TOLEDO – Aviation Museum,El Prado,Santiago Bernabeu,Museum Of Americas,Royal Palace Gallery.

Madrid and Toledo are amazing! People so friendly, open and helpful. Museums are incredible. Sadly nobody is allowed to take photos at El Prado… . I was able to make just a few shots.
Museum Of Airplanes amazing – missed one most interesting for me plane – CASA 311/He-111 in early Spanish Civil War version because the hangar where it is was closed because of the renovation of some planes. But had seen very rare Soviet-made I-15 and I-16, 2 examples of Junkers Ju-52/CASA 352L as well as Me-108 Taifun and flying boats Dornier Do-25 and Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina. There were also rare examples of Spanish built after war evolutions of Messerschmidt Me-109 (Hispano HA-1112KL Tripala and Hispano HA-1112K1L Buchon) and North American B-25J Mitchell. There was a very famous Breguet XIX which for the first time crossed Atlantic Ocean. And nearly forgot – for the first time I saw Fieseler Fi-156 Storch from close up 🙂
I sadly wasn’t able to enter The Tank Museum in El Goloso Military Base because book about War Museums in Europe as well as the Museums Webpage have wrong information about opening times… . It is opened ONLY on the last Sunday of the month and I missed this time window barely. Few photos are as well from the Reina Sofia museum (Guernica by Picasso and few other shots of war propaganda posters and one beautiful painting The World.
Sadly the Royal Palace wasn’t open when I arrived there but I visited one part of it’s Royal Gallery. Museo De Americas has incredible collections of the art and things being used by Pre-Hispanic and other Pre-European civilizations as well as the artifacts used by people living there after colonization. Very sad is the fact the collection should be much more bigger but during the time of the financial crash of The Spanish Empire too many of the priceless examples of the New World art and history were just melted to obtain pure gold… .
I had great 1 day trip to Toledo. Didn’t see all the things I planned but still very very happy to be there in a former capital of Spain. Photos are from Catedral Primada – amazing church so important in history of this country. There’s a body of Saint Ursula who was brutally killed along with her entourage of virgins afters rejecting his sexual advances by Attila The Hun. There are photos as well from the Museum Of Torture and Roman Baths.
There are few interesting photos from the previously unknown to me nice part of Paris – Bercy I didn’t have a chance to visit on my previous trips.
