I left Vegas early, drove across Death Valley, and arrived at Lone Pine around noon. It was over 100°F, so I only toured Alabama Hills briefly before heading up the Sierras. Besides some interesting arches to look for, many movies were filmed in Alabama Hills. The one I remember is the Jericho scene from “Iron Man” (2008).
