July 28, 2021 We will start this virtual walk tour at the Plaza de Colón, to continue south, along the Paseo de Recoletos. We will reach the Plaza de Cibeles and continue along the Paseo del Prado. Then Neptuno (Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo) and Plaza de la Lealtad. And we will do the last section of Paseo del Prado on the left bank to enjoy the facades of the Prado Museum and the Royal Botanical Garden. Finally we will finish in the Plaza del Emperador Carlos V, or as we have always called it, the roundabout of Atocha. I hope you will enjoy the virtual walk!

28 Julio 2021. Comenzaremos en la Plaza de Colón, para continuar en dirección sur, por el Paseo de Recoletos. Alcanzaremos la Plaza de Cibeles y continuaremos por el Paseo del Prado. Después Neptuno (Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo) y Plaza de la Lealtad. Y el último tramo del Paseo del Prado lo haremos por el margen izquierdo para disfrutar de las fachadas de el Museo del Prado y el Real Jardín Botánico. Finalmente terminaremos en la Plaza del Emperador Carlos V, o como la hemos llamado de toda la vida, la glorieta de Atocha.

In order for a city to maintain its historical heritage and at the same time improve its infrastructures, maintenance and renovation works are necessary, otherwise it happens as in other cities that are either gigantic museums without life when there are no tourists or they fall to pieces by the neglect.Madrid stands out for being a living city in continuous evolution and modernization without abandoning its artistic and monumental wealth and that has a price.Otherwise it happens as in Rome a city with a unique past but except for drastic changes with little future except that of be one of those gigantic museums that I said
