La Rioja Alta Rioja Gran Reserva 904 2009 – June 19, 2022
Happy Father’s Day! Another great opportunity to celebrate 🙂 Perfect marriage between this fine Gran Reserva and home-made paella. A medley of spices, dried fruit, burnt caramel underpinned by a structure of cedar and smoky leather that carries it to the finish. One younger palate detected some thinness that seemed to ameliorate during dinner (phew..!)
