  1. Loving your video. It's inspiring our family to go camping again. Pausing it to ask a question. On your 1st day at Tahoe, you took a hike that brings you down to the lake by Emerald Bay. Do you remember the name or access point of the trail that took you there? It provides a beautiful point of view.

  2. Wow beautiful places, poetic words 💟 Some of my most favorite locations. I love California 😍 What is that hidden beach area in Lake Tahoe? Can u share plz

  3. I can assure you that there is no beach
along Lake Tahoe that is top secret and secluded. Plan a visit during high season and you will see what I mean!
As for Yosimite, you left out the part about all the people, they can really spoil a visit.

  4. Hey I saw The High Sierra: A Love Story. Would my recommendation of it back on your McGee video have played a part in you picking it up?

  5. Thank you for your video and narration! It was so professionally done! I'm in East coaster but I have a friend in the Bay Area and I've been out in 2010 and 2013 for a visit in a road trip. In 2010 we did the glacier part up high over Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Valley and out the West gate. In 2013, we went from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe for a few days and then from Lake Tahoe down to Mono Lake and June Lake where we stayed the night. The next morning we entered Yosemite from the East Gate and get all of Meadows and a bit of the John Muir Trail. Thank you for bringing back some of my best travel memories!

  6. Scott, as a fellow lover of the Eastern Sierra, I must say- your passion really shines through! Its beauty and grandeur simply never get old!

  7. Spent many vacations at Lake Tahoe. I always wanted to do one of those gourmet white water rafting trips down the river. Sorry can’t remember the name of the river. Basically after you spent the day on the river, the crew would cook up a gourmet meal at the camp site. This was back in the day and am wondering if they still do that.

  8. I just finished hiking the toulumne river from hetch hetchy reservoir to toulumne meadows. The views and the crystal clear river was about the best I've seen. I think even better than the Muir Pass at times!

  9. Such a beautiful road trip. The spring waterfalls in Yosemite looked incredible, and Lake Tahoe and Mammoth Lakes had such amazing scenery. The mountain views, lakes, and crisp spring air made it feel like the perfect time to visit.

  10. Thanks a lot for the video
Brought memories back driving with my son to Yosemite,Half Dome.
Had the biggest meat chunks in Williams 😊
Travelled around the world except South America.
If there's one place I would still visit again that's USA
    Love from Sri Lanka
    Cheers

  11. These areas are all nice for the tourists. But if we are talking most beautiful road trip, Highway 1 needs to be included somewhere, especially the area North of San Francisco. Hiking wise, the Cascades blow the Sierras out of the water, especially if you actually want to witness Nature/life.

  12. It is the tallest in N America, not one of the tallest. The tallest waterfall in North America is Yosemite Falls, located in Yosemite National Park, California, with a total height of 2,425 feet (739 meters). It's a tiered waterfall comprised of three sections: Upper Yosemite Fall, the middle cascades, and Lower Yosemite Fall.

  13. I know you said you went in spring, but what time of year exactly did you go? Just curious, feels like there’s a sweet spot to catch the snow melt without temps being too cool.

  14. Awesome content. I love how you edit these videos. Thanks for sharing I hope you're able to enjoy your time there to the fullest even while recording😊
