😎 Out here we call it “locals’ summer.”
Reminder: It may be September now, but it’s still summer!
In fact, fall doesn’t begin until September 22. You can still experience summer in Lake Tahoe, even though Labor Day has come and gone. I actually prefer the shoulder seasons.
That means I’m maximizing the rest of this season. No layers (ok at least not during the day), no pumpkin spice anything, and no fall decorations. Just sunshine, swimming, and good vibes!
These past few months have gone by so quickly, with incredible adventures in Tahoe, Yosemite, and Silicon Valley. Grateful for it all, and ready now for a much calmer summer here in the Sierra.
