Seville is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It is situated on the plain of the River Guadalquivir, with an average elevation of 23 feet above sea level. The population of the city of Seville is just over 700,000. The population of the metropolitan area is 1.5 million, ranking as the fourth largest metropolitan area of Spain.
The video begins at the Plaza de España, one of Seville’s most easily recognized buildings and the epitome of the Moorish Revival in Spanish architecture. Next it is into the old quarter of the city where our first stop was the Royal Alcázar, a royal palace which was originally a Moorish fort. Next we walk to The Cathedral of Seville which is the largest Gothic cathedral and the fourth largest Christian church in the world. Our walk continues through the narrow streets of the Santa Cruz district. We were treated to flemenco music and dance during our lunch at the Macarena Hotel. After lunch I walk around the Parliament building of the autonomous community of Andalucía which was across the street from the hotel. It was back on the bus after lunch as we drive past the El Alamillo Bridge and bull ring as we drive out of town.

You are missing Zaragoza and Bilbao and then you've visited the most important cities in Spain. Zaragoza is between Barcelona and Madrid so you can visit it easily.

me encanta Sevilla! una ciudad en bueno!
calle betis (bars like demo, betis 56, alambique) alfalfa (rock and roll) and alemeda (tapa copa, or just around the plaza) but because its summer young people are mainly hanging outside or dancing at the open air clubs (e.g bilindo, rosso antique, alfonso, casino etc.)
I LOVE Seville and it's people!
I'm going to study abroad here next January!
Hi from Spain, Nice video on Seville & wow those Spanish guides are hard to understand or what? 🙂 Happy to report the water is now back in the canals
at the plaza de España.
If you want to experience this and more check out our Spain Travel channel here on you tube! best from Madrid, Dan OBeirne
Very nice city.
I was in Spain last year for a very short time and fell in love with the country. I wish I could make my life simpler and relocate to Seville; I will be happy there. It's not an easy thing to do, because "people" just don't leave everything and relocate to a new country. That's not the norm. "People" will think I am crazy, and will talk me out of it. And I lack confidence to stick to my gut feeling.
That's exactly what I've just done. Sold everything I own and will be in Seville next week. Go for it and good luck!
August is the worst time to come to Seville. I strongly encourage anyone who wants to see the real city to come anytime but summer. Best time in my opinion: Spring
Do it. People do leave and "sell up" all the time. Free yourself. You can always come back. Be brave life is full of adventure just be wise and not too trusting.

this one Amazigh civilization and not an Arab civilization
Arabs have no civilization.
This is the Almohads who bati this mosque in the image of the Koutoubia mosque in Marrakesh, I do not understand why you do not reconnaisser Amazigh civilization…
my auntie live here
I have visited her once

That hotel looks like a really nice place to eat and enjoy some entertainment.
