Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Barcelona’s most beautiful landmarks. Opened in 1957, it is the home of FC Barcelona. It is the largest football stadium in Europe, with a capacity of over 99,000 spectators. It has hosted historic Barcelona matches, Champions League finals, and international concerts. It houses the Barcelona Museum, one of the most visited museums in Spain. It is currently undergoing a major renovation and development to make it more modern and spacious.
