Plaza de España – The Jewel of Seville / Sevilla (travel vlog & relaxing music)
The Plaza de España is one of Seville’s most iconic landmarks, located within the Parque de María Luisa. Built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, the square showcases the grandeur and creativity of early 20th-century Spanish architecture. Designed by Aníbal González, it stands as a masterpiece of Regionalism Architecture, blending Baroque Revival, Renaissance Revival, and Moorish Revival influences into a harmonious whole.
The plaza features a vast semi-circular building, adorned with towers, colonnades, and richly decorated ceramic tiles. A large central fountain and a canal, spanned by elegant bridges, add to its charm, while tiled alcoves represent each province of Spain. Today, the Plaza de España is not only a symbol of Seville’s cultural heritage but also a popular spot for visitors to stroll, relax, and admire its stunning details.
