Climbing Mulhacen in Sierra Nevada, Spain’s Highest Mainland Mountain
Pictures from a hike up Mulhacen – mainland Spain’s highest mountain at 3479m.
The walk was a long one, I have lost the total time/distance but it was around 12 hours long with an 8am start and we returned back to the car at around 8PM with a good distance and height achievement.
We climbed this on 25th September 2018 and the weather was a good temperature – a bit fresh to start with, then sun cream needed by late morning.
We also saw some Spanish Ibex, which were not too afraid of humans, and we encountered about 10 people the entire walk, lovely!
