🔴 LIVE Madrid Walking Tour 🌆 | Puerta del Sol to Gran Vía & Hidden Corners

Hello. Hello everyone. Welcome to another Zenwalks live stream. Here we are in Madrid. We were a couple of days before in New York, but we are in Spain. So, Madrid, this is the live stream straight from the center of Madrid. And as you can see, we’re already walking. So, welcome everyone. This is the Zen Walks again on another live stream. As usual, we do some live streams during the weekends. So, if you’re not a subscriber, just hit that subscribe button now. And also, by the way, if you are doing that, don’t forget to do this to this live stream as well and to all our Zen walks videos. So, welcome everyone. It’s a pleasure to be with you as always. So, this is the 18th of October, 2025. It is now local time, 4:30 p.m. It’s now actually 40:32. So, 4 4:32 p.m. So, this is the a Saturday in the center of Madrid. And as always, Madrid is full of activity and people going around. It’s always always so nice. So we are now walking towards the very very very center of Madrid uh capital. So we are going towards the puera del soul. Puerto del soul is the main central square of uh Madrid and I could actually say of Spain because it’s supposedly from here that all the roads in Spain start. So that’s the idea of kind of radiant all roads starting from Madrid. Of course not all the roads but all the major roads going to different cities in Spain. So that many of them can be considered to depart from the Puerto del Sol uh square. So that’s where we are heading now and uh this will be quite an experience I’ll tell you. So stick with me until the end. Enjoy this walk with me on the Saturday here in the month of October. It is actually I forgot that information which I always give. It’s 24° C right now in the capital of Spain. It’s quite pleasant to go out and be about in this afternoon enjoying time with friends as always Spanish do because they really really enjoy being together. It’s very very important for Spain and for Spanish people to be with each other. And so there’s always always groups of friends just hanging out having beers or just being in the streets together. That’s very very Spanish and that’s very very special. So well let’s see if we have someone I hope I I did put this live as public because that has happened to me before that I didn’t put it as public and then I put it as private and so I didn’t have any viewers during a live stream. But if you are out there watching, please say some lines on the live chat. And here we go actually. So Nambalas is already on the live chat window saying hello. Hi Zen. Hi walkers. We have also let me put the uh my magnifying tool on my phone because I can’t read the the letters. Uh let me see. Let me see. So we have let me just check this on my other phone. So we have susian is that it el Madrid is saying or she’s saying I don’t know. So we are here are you okay? So if you are here and if you want to say hello to the Zenwok camera just follow me and come and meet me. Tell us that has happened before. That has happened before in the channel when I was live streaming and some watchers being exactly in the same town came to me and were on camera. Of course, you don’t need to be on camera, but if you are around close to me, just come and say hello. It’s always so nice to see people in person that are watching the live stream. So, yeah, please do do come. Sorry, I couldn’t really Oh, okay. You meant here in chat. Okay. Okay. Well, it’s a form of being together, isn’t it? It’s about the live chat and everyone, you know, expressing themselves. Sorry, I thought you were here in the city of Madrid. Okay, but in any case, you are in Madrid because you are watching this live stream from Zenwalks channel. So, yeah. So, let me just comment with you just a couple of things. So, this is the very famous square of Madrid. I’ve live streamed from here quite a number of times already because I live in Portugal but I still have some professional activity in Spain once in a while and whenever I can I do a live stream or record a video in Madrid. So that’s why I’m in Madrid. Actually my work was in Quanka not in Madrid but of course to come to Quanka I must fly from Lisbon to Madrid and then get a high-speed train to Quanka. That’s how it goes. The highspeed network of uh Spain is quite amazing and you can just get around to every major city by highspeed train. It’s quite astonishing what they have built here in Spain. The highspeed network is amazing compared to many many countries. I can’t compare it to Portugal because Portugal doesn’t even have a highspeed line. Anyway, let’s not talk about Portugal. It’s way, way, way behind Spain, but way behind. Only if you come to Spain and use the public transport system, you realize how late Portugal is. But let’s not talk about Portugal. Let’s talk about how Spain just goes forward. They just go forward and keep changing, keep improving things. So, and actually that’s what I was going to comment. I see some new things here in Puerto Lisol which are the structures here right here. So I believe this is for the summer because the this square was renovated not long ago like a couple of years ago. Everything was in works actually right after pandemic. They closed the square. You could go through but you couldn’t wander around. You had paths to go um to and uh connecting streets just on small paths. So that was like that during a year, but then they reopened the square with a fountain there because that fountain was not there. Let’s just take a look there because it’s a very nice fountain with um a king of Spain on a statue. That’s Carlos Tero. So Charles III repa. So that’s Charles III there. And it has a a quite a nice nice fountain which is this when I’m showing it to you. But of course they never stop. So they realized in the summer it’s quite hot here in Porto because there are no trees and there are no trees because under here all this area is the huge station of metro long distance trains and short distance trains. So that is all all below us. It’s a huge train station down there. So, let’s just um and so they put those structures to put some, you know, some uh protections for the sun. So, let’s see what’s going on here. There’s always something happening in Madrid. [Applause] Gloria. [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] So there’s some group singing and uh actually many people watching know the song because they’re singing along which is So nice. So nice to see. [Applause] Glory. [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] So yes, I’m seeing also some questions of you. We have Susan saying, “I’m going to Portugal very soon, late November.” Okay, when you are there, say something. Send me an email on the email addresses more [Applause] and Marcus Benindo. Marcus, how are you? And are you in Madrid? Yes, I am. Not for long. I have 1 hour for this live stream and then I have to get a plane to Lisbon. But I thought, okay, let’s just come to the center of Madrid and do a live stream. So here I am. That’s it. So yeah and um so yeah I did I did arrive from Kinka on a highspeed train to Madrid and then I had to leave my luggage in a locker area of course. Um I spent some money but that’s fine. It’s I always love to do the live streams cuz I couldn’t do the live streams with a suitcase because actually as you know the ones who have been watching our latest live streams I was in New York just two days ago and I flew directly to Madrid and Quanka on the train and then Quanka Madrid on a train today and here I am in Madrid again. So I mean €12 on the locker or actually two lockers was just okay. I mean it’s just fine. But if you want to contribute for me to have a bit less expense, you can give some super chat for me to cover for those expenses. I don’t say this never, but it’s just something if you want to do that, just buy a super chat right now on the live chat and compensate for my €12 to be able to do this live stream for you. But of course, you don’t need to. This was just a a side comment. So this is Puerto del Sol and it’s a magnificent square as you see and it’s so good. Martin Ot there you are my friend. How are you? All good with you I suppose. Very nice to see you. You usually come on the live streams and it’s so nice to have you really always Martin and also thank you for all your contributions. Martin has bought several super chats during the live streams and also during the premieres. So, I can’t thank you enough for doing that. It’s always such a blessing to have people like you just funding the channel. So, thank you. Thank you again. So, yeah, the police cars going around. That’s one of the things that I find always happens in Madrid. You have always a police cars going as a security measure. So, everyone is feeling safe here. So, let’s go now to you could tell me where where to go, but I have an idea. I want to go to Grandia. Grandia is and I’ve done this before. Of course, you can tell me. Oho, there he goes again. The same course, the same route. So, if you want a different route, just say on the live chat and I’m very very happy to change because I do have like 45 minutes still of a live stream, which means you can tell me Zen go that way. just tell me uh there’s always a delay so I can’t go immediately where you want me to go but after some seconds I will read your message. So here we go. We are going on Cay de la. It’s one of the busiest streets here in the center of Madrid. You can see everyone going and coming and it’s quite amazing. I’ll put my camera up so you see the amount of people right here. And actually it is interesting because being in New York I’m very used to this movement. Madrid is a very very busy city. So, here goes the camera for you. [Music] [Music] So yes, you see there’s a lot of people going on and Martin. Yes. So you are in Lisbon. I think you wrote me, didn’t you? And I didn’t reply. Is that it? Um I know someone wrote to me and uh I think it may have been you. So if it if it was the case, please Excuse me. I do have a tendency to being so many messages also from work. Sometimes some get behind. But yes, it will be great to be together. If you are still in Lisbon, I’m going to Lisbon tonight, but then I go to Porto on Monday. So, I won’t be in Lisbon fully, but I expect to be back in Lisbon on Tuesday. And then I’ll go to Porto again on Thursday and then I’ll stay until Monday. So I’ll be not even half the time in Lisbon. So I’ll be more time in Porto actually. But please do do say please do write me again and this time I promise I will reply to you. I’ll reply. Yeah. Thank you. So that’s would be very nice to meet up as I’ve done already with some Zen Walker Zenwalk uh subscribers. I’ve met them live in in some opportunities which is always so nice to meet the watchers of the channel, the subscribers in person. So yeah, so we are now in Kag La as I told you and we are going to Grandia. Marus Kuna is saying, “Zenwalks, if it’s not too much to ask, do a live show on the island of Porto Sanento each year because you already visited Mada if you don’t mind.” Of course. Oh, Marcos, of course, I wouldn’t mind. Question is is I don’t have, you know, um, yeah, it’s a I I would love to go to Portoan. I’ve never been there. So, I’ve been to Mada just for vacation and to record a lot of videos for Zenwalks, which many of them haven’t yet been released. Um, and then I I didn’t go to Porto Santo yet, but I assure you if I go to Porto Santo, I will certainly record videos there and do some live shows because that’s what I love to do is to record videos and do live streams from the places I’m visiting. So yes, if I’ll go, unfortunately, I don’t have any other uh project formida, not even vacation because the last time I was there was really on vacation and to record for the channel. Of course, I don’t have anything uh on the calendar. But if I go Oh yes, you don’t need to worry that I will record and we’ll live stream from there. That’s really Yeah, that’s that’s for sure what will happen. So thank you for being there, Maros. Madrid. Sorry, I’m just speaking in Portuguese because I know is is Portuguese. So, I change languages sometimes. So, welcome Tresa. I was just saying that Madrid has beautiful buildings. Look at that. Isn’t this astonishing? I know I say the same things one uh over and over again, but it really is Madrid is amazing. It’s really amazing. And the energy you feel from Madrid is really something that you must experience to really understand what it is. Madrid and most of Spain, you have just this explosive good energy around. They are very positive because they’re very direct to each other. So they just say what they think and just palante that’s what they say ombre go just go straight forward go and go and go that’s what Spanish really think as persons in life and I always find that very inspiring being Portuguese and with a very different attitude cuz Portuguese tends to become a bit not sad but a bit less active I think and uh it’s such a big difference and we are side by side. Portugal is right across the border and yet the differences are so so uh stunning. Of course, every country has their own good things. I’m not saying that Portugal is worse than Spain. It’s not that. It’s just different. But I must be honest, I do prefer this energy that you feel in Madrid. So yes. So my friends, I said this already on another live stream. That metro kind of building right there was demolished in the 20th century, but it was originally there when the metro was built. So they decided just very recently, like 5 years ago, to put that uh entrance to the metro again, build it as it was in the past. So when the metro started, you had that entrance to the metro. It’s now covered a bit by that bus, but it’s this shows how Spain works. If they think something must be done, they just do it. And the Metro of Madrid is one of the most efficient metro systems in the world. You just can go. No waiting times or small waiting times between metros. And um that’s so stunning. Yeah. So, let’s walk a bit on the Graia. That’s uh one of the things I like to do is just walk a bit. You will have the casino casino of Madrid right on our left. You can see the signs already. So, Sanuan is saying, “One of my friends lives in Madrid, but she’s always in Barcelona, it seems.” Well, I don’t blame her. Barcelona is one of of my favorite cities as well with a different vibe, but very, very nice to be in. So, yes, I don’t blame her. Susan, it’s I really don’t blame her because it’s a very nice place to be. I’ve actually been lucky enough to have several projects, musical projects in Barcelona, not recently, but two years ago. I was there quite often and there’s actually some not two years ago, I think it was more because I remember recording videos and it was during pandemic times with masks and everything. So many of those videos actually I didn’t release because nowadays people don’t really like to watch videos with uh masks around. people kind of dread those times and they prefer not to watch videos that have masked people around. So that’s one of the reasons I didn’t um release like maybe four or five videos that I recorded there. That’s yet a project to start. I always have so many projects for Zen walks but then of course time doesn’t stretch and um I just do what I can do. you can’t just do enough, you know, you know, at a certain period of your life. But yes, I’m glad at least to be able to keep the channel alive. Yes. So, we have 14 people watching. Don’t forget to subscribe and then you will be able to just um join the live chat. So you you must be a subscriber to join the live chat and write on the live chat. But it’s just really easy. Just hit that subscribe button and after 1 minute you can join in the live chat. So don’t be scared. You you hit subscribe and then you won’t be yet available the live chat for you. But it will be very very soon after 1 minute only. Then YouTube unlocks the live chat for you to say hello. So I really entice you to hit that subscribe button. Wait 60 seconds and then say hi on the live chat. Everyone here on the live chat will enjoy to meet new people, new subscribers of Zenwolves. And this is one of the many buses that going that’s going all always at all times in Madrid. So you see those buses are going, this one is going too. And there’s a lot of buses going around in Madrid. It’s quite astonishing system. And mind you that during the weekend there are less buses, but the less buses on a Saturday in Madrid is much more buses that you get in Lisbon. Again, sorry for the comparison. I can’t keep my mouth shut about this, but I lived 6 years in Madrid, so I know how it goes and I know how good the transport, public transport system is in the city of Madrid. It’s quite astonishing. You can just be assured if you go by metro that you can change to the bus and get to your place quite early. So yeah, it’s very very amazing. So let me see again your messages on the live chat. So we have and Susan is saying only costs a click. That’s right. It costs nothing. just a click of your thumb on I mean of your finger either on the screen or on your mouse and click subscribe. And then Sanjan is saying I was in Amsterdam recently and met Germans and they sound like you when it comes to how the Dutch do things better than Germany. That’s a nice comparison. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I I I feel you and I agree with you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There’s always these rivalries between countries, isn’t it? And yes, I imagine Dutch saying that they do things better than German. And I actually imagine Germans thinking they do things better than anyone else. But uh that’s how you get a country to be proud, isn’t it? That you are proud of your own country and your own system. As long as you are not rude to others, I think that’s just fine. Really the question is when rude uh rude happens then that’s not really nice is it? I think we all out of all times need to be nice to each other and and people would maybe become better to each other and to themselves if they were very nice to others. So yes, I always think that’s the go the way to go and I’m always very positive and I like to talk to people and be smiling, you know. I don’t do that as a fake thing. I just it’s just who I am. That’s all. And I do believe when you meet someone in the street or you go to talk to someone even in a public service or whatever in a restaurant, you just smile and the other person may open back to you and be smiley as well and then good energy happens. Isn’t that much better than being grumpy? I really think that’s the solution to life really. But anyway, this is me. This is Zenwalks talking. That’s why I created the channel as well to give good frequencies to people. And one of the good frequencies I would say is this building right there, Metropolis. It’s a amazing building with some golden uh things up there and a beautiful statue right at the top. And this splits the center into several streets as you see. This building also is quite fancy and beautiful on the style of the metropolis. But this is Graia right here. And uh that other one actually I don’t remember. I should know this cuz I lived in Madrid. My goodness. But I do have to find my own uh uh map maybe to to tell you the name of that street which are going to go right now. So Marcus is saying make society suffer. Bravo. Well, it makes society better, isn’t it? So towards the left there is Cles. That’s the big square with a fountain at the center where usually football uh cheering happens. Whenever a team wins, they go to Thibellles and enjoy themselves in a big crowd. And um there is then Puerto Alcala. I don’t know if you can see it. It’s a bit right there. It’s a big door in the middle of a roundabout. And then the communications building, the one I’m pointing with my finger. It’s a beautiful building right there. And this is the Centro de Vasartes. So right here you have a rooftop right there on top. Not on that thing, but right here there’s a beautiful rooftop with amazing views over Madrid. I think if you come to Madrid, please you should come to that one. You just climb and you are up there. So Marcus is saying, “Whenever I land at Madrid airport, I always have a security guard tell me that who leaves the airport doesn’t enter the airport again.” Well, yes, of course. uh you can’t go in if you already exited the airport. But the question is with the information, they always are very good at information here in Madrid. I always find everything is very well indicated and it’s beautiful. So this is the metropolis building again. And so if I would go straight on this road, I would be back at Puerto Sol. So that’s the way to go to Saul or straight on from Cles. But I’m not going to do that. I’m going to go let me see where I would go. I wanted to go to see Bellis down there, but then I missed the traffic light actually. But uh yeah, walks in camera. Hello my friend. How are you? Looking forward to your premiere tomorrow. really walks in camera has always good energies in his videos with amazing music relaxing one just to make you in the right shape for the start of the week. So do pay Zen walks sorry also Zen walks a visit of course but do pay walks in camera a visit tomorrow at 7:30 is that it walks in camera I think your premieres are at 7:30 if I’m not wrong and of course in London time not in the time I am now which is 1 hour ahead so yes is saying nice buildings there ew ew no eb is it oh I’m I got a bit lost now lost in translation EB EB, hello my friend. How are you? Nice to see you here. So 7:30 UK. Yes, that’s right. Walks in camera. So everyone just go tomorrow. He always premieres at that time on Sundays. So advertising done, you know, walks in camera. I always advertise your channel because I think YouTubers just help each other. That’s that’s what we do. I think that’s the best way to be in the world and not hide others from your life. You just have to, you know, be nice to each other. Again, it’s the same principle, isn’t it? I think it’s so nice. So, we are now walking to Banko Despa. So, the National Bank of Spain is this big building right here in front of us. So this is Banko Despa and it’s quite a sturdy uh imposing building, you know, from the beginning of 20th century. And you see the metro here, Banko Despa. And one thing I really find so nice in Madrid is that they we’re not going there, but I just wanted to show you they kept the same logo as it was in the beginning of the metro. It still is the same logo. And then I think of course that’s the way you you just you know continue the branding. It’s just using the same logo. You don’t need to change unless it’s a horrible logo but it’s not the case. This one is a very nice one. You know just a geometric shape with metro inside it. And I think that’s very clever. It’s very clever. So this is us walking down to the just to show you that beautiful telecommunication building which I really love. So let’s see uh more comments are appearing here and let me check the live chat. My other phone is kind of dying out of battery but I think I can read still. Thanks Zen Walton camera. You are you are very welcome. It’s always a pleasure to me you know as you know. So we are walking towards Cles right now. I hope my gimbal is stable enough for you. What’s in camera? I’m a bit kind of tired live streams. I think it’s okay and it’s fine. From Kaza Deapel. Ah yes that’s the series isn’t it? The Netflix one. I I didn’t watch that series yet. That’s on my bucket list. And of course, um, having lived in Spain, I love Spanish series. I think they’re very clever. And for me, the most important thing is that you really feel the Spanish energy in those series. So, there was one a very famous one, maybe a bit more for teenagers, what which was elite. Elite in Spanish. So, Elite, I don’t know exactly how to say in English actually. Elita is a very very famous Spanish series, but more for um you know, teenagers maybe. But I watched it. I liked it. It was just all in the University of of um of Spain and you know all the big fights and class hierarchy. I don’t know how to say this in in English. I’m saying it wrong, I know. But yeah, and it’s very nice because you feel the just the Spanish mood. They don’t care. They just say whatever they think and uh you just have to deal with it. But not being rude, just being very honest. And that kind of breeds on that on that series and I think in every Spanish series the problems you had. Watson Camry is saying the last live stream was due to YouTube changing API. That’s right. Thank you so much, Watson Camera. and I read about it and I had um a message uh like you know a notification from from the Prism app saying that there was a problem really with the app because so they have this on one side and this is really Spain it’s very inclusive so they have that and then they have again there’s also ones with two ladies holding hands And I really find this is a a small but very big detail that Spanish has which is inclusion. Spanish are very forward on this and uh they assume that everyone is as they are and of course you can be married to a man or a woman whatever your gender is. So for them it’s very natural thing and that’s how things should be. So here we are in Cles. So CL is the that roundabout over there. Let me just see if I don’t get run by a bus. And you have a big fountain right there. You see with a carriage going on top. And uh of course with all the Spanish flags around, that’s what you get. And this stunning building of telecommunications right here in front of us. So Susan is saying as an ex English teacher you nailed it. Oh thank you. Yeah I mean it is what it is and uh I think life is to be lived. So, Susan is saying it got me to watch other Spanish shows. So, it has a special place for me. Yes, exactly. It’s very special those series. I really like it. Yeah. So, we are in Sibella. So, this is Castana. It’s the longest I think avenue in Madrid. Castana goes way down there. I mean, up there and then down there to the back of where I am now. It’s a very very very big very long avenue like Castayana and you it’s surely you can’t or maybe you can but you’ll get very tired if you do it on foot from the start of it until the end. It’s several kilometers. So but of course in the center it passes by stunning places like Banko Despa right there or the telecommunication building right there. So Banko Despa is also a very stunning building. It has a golden sphere on top. I don’t know if you can see the sun doesn’t let us but there’s a golden sphere at the top and this is stunning. So yes, I’ll tell you what’s my project is is to now go to Chua. So Castana Pio de la Castana is this avenue here. So you see there’s gardens on the inside of the avenue. So you can walk all in the gardens along and then on the sides there’s traffic but you can get a relaxing walk over there. So let’s go again. Again the number of people is astonishing. So yes, Walton Cameron is saying yes because of that prison couldn’t talk to YouTube. That’s why I w I went to the center of Lisbon wanting to do a live stream and I couldn’t start it. I mean, I started it, but then it would collapse all the time and then I quit. I couldn’t really do it. So, I had to quit and it was because of that kind of bug. There was a bug in the API. So, that’s what happened. There’s Cibellas again. Of course, the perfect place for photos there. There’s a girl there with photos. So, they’re going to take a selfie. And here we go. So, we’re going back up. I would go inside the metro if it wasn’t for the thing of losing the network. It is a beautiful afternoon, isn’t it? So my friends, I’m very happy to spend my time short time because I have a plane to catch with you doing the live stream. I could have just been on myself on my own just enjoying a beer at some esplanard in Europe. So if I want to do more live streams if I’m abroad, maybe I have to be careful. But I don’t have anything planned for abroad, I think, if I remember correctly in the next months. So it’ll be okay. It’ll be okay. So this is the Institute of Cervantes. There you go. Also a very very stunning building. Look at that. And I love the pinnacle on that one. You see it’s so beautiful. That’s very very center of Madrid style of architecture. Again, Spanish flags everywhere which really shows how much they love the country. Of course, I mean, every public building in Portugal also has Spanish flags, but still. So, there we go again for inclusion. You see these ladies together holding hands and then the green sign also with two ladies, two girls holding hands. Again, I I really find this detail very very delicious and important. normalizing what should be normal. Okay. Yeah. Um well, let’s take this road actually. So, this goes um it’s not yet there. Straight ahead. It’ll be more on the left. Cheka Chua is one of the main nightlife spots in Madrid. Also very gay active, so it’s very open to everyone. Chweka is a very nice place to be. You don’t need to be gay to be in Chewa though. You just need to enjoy yourself. That’s all you need to do. So yeah, it’s very very nice. Madrid is always good energy. So keep writing on that live chat, my friends. Do ask me questions if you want and uh can keeping the live chat alive. Oh, actually I don’t know this square. Plaza de Re. It’s up there. Well, I lived in Madrid for 6 years, but I don’t remember being in this plaza. Well, Madrid is huge anyway. It’s a very big town. Yeah, I don’t know this. How interesting. Sorry for wandering around with my camera, but I find this very interesting. So, I’ll tell you what. I’ll I’ll put my location on a pin so you can see exactly where I am. Plasa del Re. There you go. Share. I’m doing this on my other phone because on this one I can’t do anything because I’m doing the live stream. You see? So now I go back to the YouTube app where I’m kind of catching up with your um with your dialogues. So I just sent the location and actually I noticed that is asking is it hot there? then no it is let me check I think I told in the beginning 24 24 Celsius is really very pleasant you know it’s very very pleasant and um it’s a nice day to be out so nice and anyway so here we go we are on the plaza re some plaza that I never went to before and again this is a very Spanish kind of building here re I don’t know what this building is Let me see. There’s a there’s there’s some um sign over there, but I think it just says gosp, I think. Uh yeah, I don’t know what this is. I’m curious, but it’s a very very Spanish building. Very Spanish style. I don’t know what that is. I’m feeling a bit dumb at this smoke cuz I don’t know what that is. So, we’re passing by Kay de Kulminares right now and this is K de la Infinantas. It’s one of the streets that lead to Chweka area where we are going now. So, this is definitely a different route that we are taking. You’re welcome. Yes, it is 24 Celsius. It’s very very nice temperature. Very nice indeed. And um de la and we go on Kay Infantas. Yes, I remember this kay especially when I would go out in Madrid and go back to the metro. I remember being on this street like at 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. Yeah. life night life of Madrid is very very good. It’s very good. And I’ll speak a bit in Spanish since I’m going to entice our Spanish viewers to join in the live chat. So, here goes. Like the video is important. Okay. Madrid. forced. Starbucks. Starbucks. So, this Starbucks is new. I don’t remember this when I lived in Madrid. This was not here. So, it’s quite nice. Very, very close to the Hotel Oscar. I think it’s Oscar, isn’t it? Yeah, there it is. So, that’s the Hotel Oscar. That actually, by the way, it has a very nice rooftop up there. You can just go in. You don’t need to be a customer. You can just um go in the elevators and go up there. And it has a beautiful rooftop right there. You can see some white structures there. And that’s where the rooftop is. It has beautiful views because you see the the buildings next. They are not as tall. So you can have beautiful views there. And here we are going to Tekka again. You can hear people in the esplanads. And so this is Plata Pedro Cerolo. That’s it. That’s the name. Plata Pedro Cerolo. And uh there are many esplanads around here. And we are going to we are already in Chweka. This is the Chuka neighborhood. It’s this kind of square um blocks. This is cha already. [Music] And here we are. And we will go straight to the Cheka Square. Here we go. And here we go. So my friends, I’m going to start a goal. A goal is like a challenge where you can buy a super sticker or super chat. But to do that, please don’t buy the super chat as usual. You have to click on the goal symbol. And I’m giving this goal 15 minutes. So if you want to contribute further for the channel and to cover my€ 12 uh expense on my lockers, please do do so. It’ll be very nice of you really. So starting now if you are wanting to, of course. No obligation. Never. Well, I wouldn’t I would never oblige you. I couldn’t never anyway. Did the goal appear? Because it doesn’t seem to be going for me somehow. It seems like it is a bit stopped somehow. I don’t see that goal going on. Well, apparently something happened with this goal and I’m not being able to. Anyway, that’s not important. So, it’s fine. It says I I can’t start a new goal while this first one isn’t finished, but I don’t remember starting a a goal before. Anyway, uh well, this was not the way I wanted to come, actually. So, let’s go down a bit and we’ll pass by that marcado over there. Oh, I started a goal after all. I didn’t realize, but it didn’t say okay to me. Hey, come on. Walk in camera. You already sent £5 walks in camera. Thank you so much. That actually almost no it doesn’t but almost covers for my locker expense today because of course pounds are more expensive than uh uh they have more value than euros. So I guess uh £5 would be like maybe six something euros. Uh so thank you really thank you so much. That’s very very nice of you. Really thank you for starting the goal. So, we have four left to complete this goal. And there’s the Marcado San San Anton. I already filmed there and I already live streamed from there. So, I’m not doing that again. I’m going straight to the Plaza de Chaa, which is the main plaza of Chua. Here we go. This is the street to go. Cay de Barberi. This is the name of the street if you want to go to the plaza deco. So again, walked in camera, thank you so much for doing that contribution by clicking on the goal icon and buying uh you bought £5. So thank you. That’s very generous of you. Really is. So again, we have so many people just enjoying all these asphelonauts here. This is a very very famous place here in Madrid. You have old ladies having beers. I just love it. It’s so nice. Thank you, walking camera. Really, that’s So, to buy a goal, uh, you have to press the goal icon. Just don’t just buy a normal super sticker because that doesn’t count for the goal. And after we reach the goal, you will uh receive what’s hidden in the goal. There’s a phrase that will appear after the goal is uh complete. So if you complete the goal, that phrase is revealed back to you and it has a kind of a interesting surprise information for you. And I’m repeating myself, but still never enough because this is one of the most famous and nice places to have a vermouth is this one. You know, martini kind of thing. That’s a that’s a vermouth. And they even have the vermouth sign right there. So there you go. You have this and of course it has all these amazing. They kept it as it was in the old times. So you have the ceiling right there and it’s very very stunning. I was trying to see if I see a friend that works here, but he’s not working today, apparently, and I don’t see him. So, let’s just see the live chat. Oh, we have a new contribution. Aruse. Hi, my name is Arthur and I’m watching from Brazil. Uh artur chat. So our tour just gave the second goal. The second goal is done. So we need three more. And you can give whatever you want. I didn’t put any minimum amount because I think if you want to give something, you just give it without any minimum limit. I think that’s how things should be done. So this is the center of Chueka. So this is the plaza of Chua. And of course again inclusivewise even the metro of Chueka has the rainbow colors in the logo. Oh there’s a nice doggy. So sweet. I don’t know. I think I showed you this before but it’s such a nice atmosphere. Always in the esplanads you have the lively voices from Spanish language which is very very specific. So you see the metro sign has the rainbow over there and also inside the metro there’s lots of rainbow themed advertising and it’s very again very Spanish for inclusion. So yes. So let’s keep walking my friends. That’s the idea. We’re going to leave Cheka and I’m going to take you a little back a little back to Grandia. There’s so much more to show you in Madrid. Really, this is just the center, very, very center of Madrid. And um there’s so much more. There’s so much more. I could walk for hours and not even show you 10% of Madrid. So, here we go. We keep walking on the one of the streets of Chua. There we go. And then rainbow rainbow flags in many places. And then of course a provocatory poo. So it’s an ice cream, but look at the shape of it. So this became very famous. La poeria. That’s how they call it. No laeria. So it’s po is exactly that that you have there. That’s a poo. And so they call it la poa and it’s very famous. Everyone just has a laugh while eating these ice creams. So sorry for the graphic part of it. But again even more graphic is the the sign on the left of those girls right there because oh well it doesn’t I don’t need to explain that to you. So, of course, it became very famous in Madrid and people just want to buy that and take photos. Yeah. Ah, it’s so nice to walk in Madrid. Really is. I always find an amazing lightness when I’m in Madrid. There’s no grumpiness, you know. There’s always nice frequencies and that’s so good. So, I see already that they are starting to put the Christmas decorations. So, there’s Christmas decorations coming up soon. You can see them here. Right there they are. So yeah, Spain is very open as you know. So that store is a symbol of that openness. Really is. And everyone just laughs of it and doesn’t get offended. It’s just as it is. And Spanish, I think, are one of the best people to be open and frontal about things. And here we are going back to Graambia. So now let’s walk towards the Fen Caral. So we’re going to take a detour here. I hope the connection is stable, my friends. I think it is. So, how’s that goal going? Any more contributions? Because the goal may be ending. I don’t really know. Ah, so we have four. I missed one maybe, did I? I know. No, it’s four minutes to end. That’s it. I saw four and then I got a bit. Uh, so there’s four minutes for the goal to end. You can just give one. I’m a I sound like a salesman. That that’s not my intention. Never. You can give just1 pound, whatever. It’s really really the amount you want to contribute. But I think I’m already approaching my locker renting that I had to do to do this live stream. I had to put my suitcase and my backpack in some locker system in the center of Madrid cuz I couldn’t do a live with a suitcase going around. That would be impossible and it wouldn’t be nice for you as well to listen to the wheels going on the pavement. So, I did it and it’s uh I did it with pleasure. So, I don’t need you to cover for that experience, but if you want to do it, of course, I’ll be very very thankful and um thanking you very much. So, we are now approaching Azus. I have a message from Azus. Um, let’s see. Your English is good. Not going to lie. How lie. How did you learn it? Dualingo or something? No. No dual lingo for English. I’ve done that for other languages because I do speak Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, and Italian. I can speak but suddenly it goes to Spanish. So yeah, I lost my Italian a bit but I do understand Italian perfectly because as a musician I have to I had to learn it. So oh Azus we have another another ah come on Aruse. Sorry I’m saying Azus but it’s wrong. It’s Aruseri. That’s very, very, very sweet of you. Thank you. Really? That’s very So, I’ll answer to your question very quickly. I was just writing something on the live chat which I like to say. Aruse. Now it’s correct. Thank you for the contribution. So I think we have five supercharge. We have three out of five. So we’ll need two more to reveal the sentence or the information. But anyway, so Aruse, this is a story. My English is I consider fair enough, good enough. I don’t consider it perfect, but I do have a British accent more than anything else. I it’s not pure British, but it certainly isn’t American. And that is all due to my parents because they offered me when I was very young. I was in fourth grade and they offered me a course like a course with some books to read and some cassettes, you know, that old old thing from the past where you would play the tape and I would listen to stories about the circus. It had Coco the clown. I never forget this. and all the stories around that circus and it was all in British English. So I started learning English before you are supposed to in school. So usually English in Portugal is at the on the fifth grade and um I’ve done it started it on the fourth grade. So that’s all to thanks to my parents. That’s why I have a good English, you know. I started early and I never stopped um practicing it. So that’s and especially now also with the channel I’m very used to speaking English and I really enjoy it. It’s like a second language for me. So that’s very very special. Carla Carla hola. Thank you so much Carla. Carla just gave 5. Oh my goodness. So that’s very very nice. Thank you. Thank you so much. That’s very special. I really thank you a lot for this contribution. It’s amazing. Thank you so much. [Music] Oh, wow. So, we have 30 seconds. There’s just one goal missing. One goal in 20 seconds. It’s going down now. I really feel like a salesman. But again, that’s not what I want to do. It’s just for fun. It’s really fun. So, thank you. That’s very, very, very, very generous of all you. All of you really obriadas and walks for showing us this beautiful city. Carly is saying so the goal was not achieved but we did have four super goals from many of you walks in camera Aruse Carla. So I really thank you for that really. It’s very very very special. So thank you for doing that. And now we have kind of um this is very common in Madrid because they they always have this it’s like an association for pets animal rescue foundation and the animal rescue just goes in the center of Madrids for people to see the dogs. I don’t know how it works if you can go to them and say you want to adopt the dog. I don’t really know, but they always are um kind of with the dogs in the center of Madrid and you can tell how warming they are to the dogs. They are always very caring and you can feel that nice energy always with these guys. So, Animal Rescue Fund, that’s the name. So you want to if you want to know more about them, you can write animal rescue funion which is foundation in in Spanish and you can maybe know a bit more about this association and they always are in the center of Madrid in several places. I’ve meet these guys in past live streams and it’s always so nice to just see how good the dogs are taken care of. It’s so nice. I love it. I love dogs, you know. You know, it’s it’s really something that I really love. And so, here they are. They’re very sweet dogs. Ah, they’re so sweet. I really enjoy dogs so much. They have always very special personalities. So, this is Fen Caral that would go to that side and goes to another part of the town. But we are going that way because that’s how we go back to Grandia. So, let’s leave the doggies. They are very well taken care of. Ah, this one is so sweet. [Music] Yeah. So, they are explaining what they do to people who ask. You can contribute as well on some boxes over there and um and you can give money also on on with the bank with your bank card as well. They have a ATM terminal there. So, yes. Bushkan. Busha. Yeah. Yes. They’re saying they’re looking for a home. This guy was saying Bushkan Casa. Bushkan Familia. And they are very, very beautiful. Ah, look at that one. It’s so nice. It’s very nice. Okay. So, there we go. And you can buy a calendar as well. Everything for support of animals is something to be cheered and welcomed and fostered. That is my opinion. So, let’s take a look again at the hundreds of people going on Fen Caral. It’s so amazing. There I go. Camera up. So yes, as you can see, there’s many people. Uh it is quite stunning. Anyway, we’ve been live streaming in this street before, so this is not the first time. And every time we are here, it’s always full of people. Always. Fen Caral is also a very store intensive street. There’s stores everywhere and um so there’s stores for every taste, shoes, clothing and other other merchandise as well. So here we go back to Grandia. That’s the idea is to keep going. Keep going. So we have Carla writing more. Let me see what K is saying here on the live chat. And so Carly is saying this must be The podenos dogs [Music] used for hunting and then abandoned field after the hunting can be can be. It happens a lot. Yes, it can be. We never know. We never know what happened to these dogs to be without their homes and their owners. But one thing is certain if they are without their owners is because their owners were not good people. And there’s no other way to say this. If you abandon a dog, you can’t be a nice person. Sorry this is but I’m very adamant on this. I always feel that if you abandon your dog, there’s something wrong with you. There is something wrong with you. So yeah, sorry. I’m not usually this this dramatic in Zen walks, but this kind of really moves with me a bit. If this is something that you can’t do is abandon your pet. So having said this, let’s just enjoy the walk in Madrid. I’ve said yes. Any pet. Any pet. Exactly. Sanjian is saying very well. Yeah. Any pet. Yeah. It’s uh you can’t do that. It’s just can’t be a good person if you do it. So this is my very personal opinion and I think is shared by many. I’m sure many think as I do. So yes and this is Fen Caral when caral. So you have so many stores mango teszan aduling right there and uh it is quite stunning quite stunning to be here. So we don’t have much time. I’m going back to Saul because I have to get my suitcase and go to the airport because I don’t want to get late and rushed and stressed. That can’t happen because it happens too many times. So, let’s see what’s happening here. Let’s run. I think it’s a compl. So, there was everyone’s cheering even if they are not from the group. There she goes. I think every people just said they were they didn’t know the girl and they just said complain and did a kind of a jumping around with a girl and that’s how Spain works because they just are for each other and that’s something that is very very unique. So it’s very good. [Music] So there they go. And it’s the 30th anniversary of that girl and I was just saying happy birthday. So very very good. That’s how you go. And everyone, even if they didn’t know the girl, they were just saying and singing. Ah, that’s so beautiful. That’s again the the happiness feeling in Spain and in Madrid is that everyone just enjoy life and say hello to each other and greet each other and then they go on with their lives. They don’t they don’t stick around, but they are just nice. So that’s very very special. So I have to go to Solo. So let’s go this way and go through Cayao. So my plane is at 8 10 8. It takes me approximately 1 hour to get to the airport. So if I leave at 6:00, I’ll arrive there at 7. So that will be fine. I just can’t delay much more. Usually I get very thrilled during the lives and then time goes by and then I rush to wherever I need to to to go felicades. There you go. [Music] So let’s see if I do the right way. [Music] Felicad Susan is saying I love that kind of thing in Italy. You mean kind of people cheering up for each other? Yeah. But you know what? I do feel that happens even more in Spain. And I don’t know if it was that that you were referring to, but in Spain, I really feel it’s it’s really a thing and everyone just goes and cheers and it’s very nice. I always felt very well in Spain always, even during the the years I lived here. And again, sorry, I’m going to take a detour because there’s too many people. So, there’s the Primark store on our right. It’s a big department store. I mean, not department store. It’s the Primark store. And it’s Look at the people. Look at the people going in and out. It’s crazy. So, let me look at the time again. 46. Okay. If I finish this around 6, it’ll be okay. But I can’t go over 6:00. So, Sanujan is saying, “Yes, it was, but I have yet to go to Spain, so I will see it in a couple of months.” So, when are you coming to Spain, Sanujan? And then Aruse is saying, “How long have you been there in Spain?” Aruse, uh, I’ve been in I lived in Spain from 2012 until 2018 roughly, more or less. So yes, I did live around five years and a half almost six in Madrid. But uh again, I was always in between Lisbon and Madrid. There was those were crazy times, but I don’t regret it never. I was on the plane every day uh rehearsing in both cities, Lisbon and Madrid. So it was very interesting. Very interesting. I would get a plane to Lisbon, 1 hour plane, and go to a rehearsal in the night in Lisbon. And then would come back the next day, very early, of course, and have a morning rehearsal in Madrid, stay over for Wednesday. And then on Wednesday, I would do the same thing. Would go back to Lisbon to rehearse and come back on Thursday for another morning rehearsal in Madrid. and maybe on. So there’s the famous capital building right a like a wedge there. It’s the Schwep sign very famous again very old sign advertising that was never changed since the beginning and they will never change it because it’s very iconic right now. So capital building right there. And we are arriving to Cayao Square. So this is me being a tourist guide for you. Cayao Square is one of the main squares again of Madrid that intends to be a little a little time square in Madrid if you may think like that because there’s screens screens around. There’s one screen there, there’s another screen there and of course there’s another two screens over there. So this scene tends to be a bit like Time Square or Piccadilly Circus in London but yet still misses a bit a bit of screens to become like that. But anyway, it’s a big city. So, of course, it would have to have its own Piccadilli circus or Time Square in New York, by the way. And this actually is the metro of Kaya. So, you can just exit here and you are right at the center of Madrid. By the way, I was in New York two until two days ago. So, you have New York videos and lives. Not videos yet. I just did lives because I I haven’t been home since New York. So there are a couple of lives live streams from New York that you can enjoy here at the channel. Just go to our live stream tab on the YouTube page of Zenwalks and go to New York with me. If you enjoy my live streams, you will enjoy these ones of New York. Really? So this was the you know fak the French uh store of books and um devices and all that. But they moved. They’re not anymore in here. So, I don’t know what’s going to happen to this building. It can be that it will become a hotel. I have no idea. I really don’t know. Certain thing is this is a huge building, although thin. It’s very thin, but um I don’t know. I’m very expect kind of expecting uh what’s happening what’s going to happen on this building. It’s quite difficult to walk. So, we are we are now in the most I would say busy street of Madrid. Cay de Prei. This is the street and it connects Kaya to Sol. That’s where we are heading. Look at all these people. Oops, I got a bit stranded here. I have to go around. Here we go. So, we are almost finishing the live stream, my friends. I want to thank you for being here. Of course, we still have a couple of minutes [Applause] here. Bali val is very Spanish. It’s like saying okay okay or another word is ba which means let’s go ba or it can mean other things as well just in a normal conversation you say benga like yes that’s it you know it’s very it’s very nice so let me check your comments again on the live chat. Um, just give me a second cuz my other phone had to restart somehow, but I had Susan saying things. I love Desi. Ah, yes, there was a Desi store up back there. Yeah, I do love it too, you know. Very nice Spanish store. You have clothing. So, you have very kind of alternative looking kind of clothes there and they’re very, very beautiful. Desal means uneven. So yeah, you can find uneven uneven clothes in the design. It’s very clever that I have to put my magnifying tool on the phone. I can’t read your messages and I want to read them. Sorry. Just give me a minute. So let me see. But I have yet to go to Spain. Yes, exactly. So, Sinujan says I’ll be heading to Europe in late November or early December starting in Porto. So, please do write me an email susen if you are there. The email you can find the address you can find on the about page on the channel. Starting in Porto going down the coast. I think I will hit Spain in January unless adventures happen in Portugal. That’s very good. And then thank you for the walk, Zen. Um, it has been fun. Ricky Beltran, hello my friend. How are you? Welcome. We are about to end, but it was very nice to see you Ricky. Oh, okay. I’ll reach out. Sanjin is saying doing some post layoff show travel. Zero plans, just life. That’s amazing. I really, really am happy to hear that you’re just going to enjoy. Ah, wonderful. That’s what life is all about, isn’t it? Of course, sometimes we have so many busy schedules and don’t put a time for ourselves, but I always believe even if it’s a short time, it’s always good to put some time for ourselves and uh just enjoy. You know sometimes of course it’s not the case of a travel but if you have 5 minutes to you every day at least you’ll be a better person and sometimes it’s not that difficult to save 5 minutes or 10 just for ourselves every day. So, we are back to Soul, my friends. And I really think it is even more crowded than when we started the live stream because of course the siesta has ended and many of them are now out in the street. So, look at this. So, Sanjian is saying exactly I haven’t given myself that time for years just to companies and peers. So, adventure time. Oh, yes. Yes, you do very well. So, please reach out. Really, it would be just very nice to know when you are in Porto. Maybe I’m there, too. Who knows? So, this is it, my friends. This is the end of this live stream. We’re back where we started, more or less. Actually, we started in a square above there, but I think this is more magnificent to end because this is, after all, the central big square in Madrid, which is Puerto Sol. And this magnificent square is the stage for the end of our live stream in Madrid. I hope you enjoyed this. I have to now go back to get my things. Thank you again for the contributions for your funding during this live stream. That really covers for my luggage uh rental that I had to do. It was €12. So, we reached that and more. And I really thank you cuz it’s really nice of you cuz I feel I would do it anyway even without your contributions but with your contributions your tips this was even more special. So yeah. So my friends, I thank you for being here. Wing camera [Music] walks. walk to Brazil. And so back to you guys in Port in English. Take care everyone and see you on the next live stream or premiere. This was really a pleasure. I enjoyed very much being with all of you and uh talking to you live on the live chat. That was very very special. So thank you. Have a safe weekend, a fun one. Enjoy yourself and have good frequencies for you and your friends and family. Bye-bye and take care.
