Must do in Seville
Hello everyone. We just woke up in Seville where we didn’t just wake up. We just drove a long almost 3 hours drive from our way up. That sounded really cool in my head. But anyway, yeah, we are going to explore Seville today. And I will bring you along, shall we? Yeah, that’s pretty much it. But yeah, the drive here wasn’t too bad. It was just very bendy on the Ronda way because to go to Rhonda, you have to like go up the mountain and then back down. But other than that, it was actually fine. It was just a bit long, but that’s better. Yeah, it took us a good while. Yeah. Well, it was exactly like Well, it said 2 and 1 half, I think. 232 or something, but it took us just under 3 hours. Yeah. Which is quite a lot, but then I feel like it fell longer because it wasn’t a motorway. That makes sense. But yeah, we were only on the motorway for like what 30 minutes. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Well, it’s manageable. It’s not too bad at all. No. And if I turn the camera around, this is where we are. It’s meant to be 35° today, which is less than ideal. If anyone’s wondering, this is where we parked. It’s literally It’s called Plaza del Duke. So, we’re actually staying over tonight. Yeah, we just booked a nice little Airbnb uh which is meant to be like right in the middle of the city. So, yeah, we haven’t seen it yet. No, because we’re waiting for the check-in, but yeah, 3:00 p.m. and it is 12 12. Yeah, but um yeah, we’re just going to show you around and let’s see what Seville is like. We we are expecting good. So, that building that I just showed there is the Civil City Hall. I had to look it up. I’m not that knowledgeable at all. Um, but looked really cool. I really like the like design and architecture and all of that. Did you? Yeah, it was really cool. Nice. And we are walking towards the cathedral of Seville at the moment. Uh, it looks massive. Wa. Let me go into the Can you see it? That’s a cool shot. Yeah, you can see how massive it is. Yeah, it’s a big thing. We have We’re going over to Real Alazar, by the way. But yeah, massive. So, we didn’t know if we were going to be able to go into the cathedral, but we’re getting online tickets. And I think Yeah, we didn’t book anything. We’ll manage. Yeah, we didn’t book anything, but I feel like when you book stuff, it’s sometimes it can ruin stuff, but I don’t know. We’ll try this one and let you know how we get on or even show you it. I don’t know if we can record in there. We’ll see. So, we didn’t manage to go in because they are asking for the passport number which we obviously don’t have. You have your passport number. IDs. No, but they’re checking the ID. Oh, they’re actually checking the ID. So, are Yeah, sure. All I have is my license. Same as you. I don’t even have my license here now. Oh, do you know? Well, same. Yeah. So, we’d have to go back to the car. There is a reception somewhere here as well where you can buy tickets. So, maybe on the way back we could do this one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s anyway. We’ll definitely go sometime. Yeah, we’ll try anyway cuz I really wanted to see this. But um I think it’s a master in Yeah, but I um I didn’t even know it was going to be like on the way now. I thought this was going to be for the evening anyway. So, it’s all good. We are going Where are we going now? Rio Alazer. Okay. And let me tell you, it it is going to be a hot day. I can already tell. Well, I mean, it’s 12 127. I’m sweating already. I need to put some faces. Right. So, a bit of an update. So, we went to the gardens thingy. I can’t remember what it’s called. And they asked for IDs as well. So, if you’re coming here, make sure that you do have your passport. Now, we were going to walk back to the car to get our license to see if that’s okay. But then he did say at the entrance that the driver’s license is fine, but we didn’t try it. Yeah. But then I looked it up and apparently it’s not. Okay. So, look, we actually ended up finding pictures of our passport. So, we didn’t even think it we didn’t see anywhere that, you know, that said you need your license or an ID or something. And I don’t even think it says on the reservation that you need to bring it with you. It just says you need to book it online. Yeah. and our friends were here last year or 2 years ago and they said like what like that that wasn’t the case when they were here. So, I don’t know. Yeah, be prepared anyway. It might be something new that they’re bringing in. And I’m just hoping that they they’re going to be okay cuz they are actually checking the ID. So, I’m just hoping that they’re going to be okay with it. So, yeah. Yeah, cuz it seems like anywhere you need to book or just have a picture of your passport. I don’t know. But yeah, fingers crossed we’ll get into the cathedral. Yeah, success. We actually managed to get into the cathedral. It wasn’t too bad at all. They didn’t ask for the ID. No, but when we were lining up earlier, they were asking for ID. So, yeah. Typical, isn’t it? But yeah, we’re in now anyway. Um, this is like Yeah. No, I was just going to say that they’re strict on the clothes. Yeah. So, you need to have your shoulders um uh covered. I mean, and technically, it says you’re not allowed to have like your knees out for both men and women, but we both do. But you can also buy the shoulder covers. There’s a shop there. Yeah, it seems like it’s like a t-shirt or something that they sell. But anyway, this is like a what would you call it? Like a churchyard. Churchyard. Well, isn’t this what it is? I don’t know. But yeah. Is that it? Yeah. I thought it was way bigger. It’s huge. It’s nice though. Look, it’s all the way the left part there as well. Oh, yeah. Not as big as Trmoral Church, but that’ll do. So, just read that if you if police stops you and if you don’t have your ID, you get fined, which to be fair, that’s the same in Hungary as well. But, um, I’m just so not used to it. Like, that would never be the case in Ireland. Jesus. Well, interesting. So, we just finished up at the cathedral and what what was the rate? Oh, it’s a nice 10. Yeah, really nice. There was a bit of scaffolding going on, but that didn’t do enough even. Yeah. Yeah. Even with that, it was beautiful. Massive. So, I take back my statement from earlier. Huge. D said that it looks really small. It was I’m pretty sure we didn’t even go into all the rooms. So, no, we did. We didn’t. But, um, it was really nice. And now we are on the way to the other place. We were going to go into initially. What? What was that? Some aazra. I don’t know. I’m sweating again. Hello. [Music] This looks crazy. So, we’re just having a break now in this. Still don’t really know what it is, but Yeah. But it’s the Spanish royal family’s old home. I could be butchering that. But yeah, and then it was changed by like other people and there’s like Islamic culture. There’s a Gothic features in it. It’s meant to be all sorts pretty much. Yeah. So I think that like the royal family moved in first and then it kind of changed to like a massive palace. Interesting. Yeah. And there’s like features on the features and according to Well, and who was there now? Just I’m not sure. I’ll read for the day. Yeah, I’ll read up on it and we’ll we’ll do there’s a lot of there’s a lot of um clips of it. So maybe while we have the clips playing, maybe we could explain what it was. That’s a good idea. When we first walked into here, it kind of just looked like there’s two tree rooms and like a little garden pretty much. Like when we walked into one of those here now, it’s actually massive. It’s huge. And like all of this, as you can see, a huge garden behind us and there’s just so much to it. So, and yeah, so much like so much inside. So many different rooms to check out and it is have to now our checkin is at 3. So, plan on finishing off with this and maybe tree or something. Yeah. Like walk around a little bit more and then we head over to tea. Yeah. And then get a bit freshened up. Maybe grab some food. Yeah. Charge the phones and go back out to explore more. friends. We still have a couple of things on the list that we want to do anyway. Yeah, mainly just walking around. Yeah, that’s what I’m excited for. Just walking around the city. It’s always the best ride, isn’t it? So, yeah. Yeah, I’m starving. I’m starving and I’m exhausted. So, we finished up once again with uh spot number two. And it was really nice as well. What would you rate that? Yeah, that one was N and a half out of 10. Less than a half. No reason. I just like the cathedral. Oh, no. Yeah, it was really nice. On the wrong side, but we can walk this way. I’m sure that’s what I think that’s what my map said, right? I’ll get back to the map. But yeah, I would recommend that one as well. Oh, for sure. So now the plan is to go to the car, get our stuff, go pick up the key for the Airbnb, and um actually go to the Airbnb. And by the way, the tickets for the cathedral, we paid €26 for all those boats online. Yeah. And the Rud Alcazar was $1,550 each. Yeah. So what’s that? 13 each and 50. Let me come this way. So we just arrived at the apartment. It’s actually a lot bigger than I thought. So, there’s a little, what would you say? Coffee table. There’s a little like chill area with a telly. Yeah. There is the kitchen with a little island. No, that is a little island, but it’s cute. I quite like that. No, not that. It’s nice and cute. It’s very nice. Got the L there with a little shower. But look at this. Look how big it is. This wall is quite cool. Yeah, it’s a stunn. And there’s a little spare bedroom here with a bunk bed which we probably won’t be using. And then there’s our room here. But if you’re not, you can sleep in there. Yeah. Very cool. It’s an It’s actually cool in here. Yeah. So, yeah, that’s the apartment. quite nice. And we’ll show you the courtyard as well cuz that was quite nice as well. So, what you reckon? It’s nice. Yeah. Yeah. Happy with it? Yeah, it’s actually really nice. I’m just very flipflops. A kind of reminds me of a rehad in Marrakesh. Oh, yeah. That could be one of ours. I don’t know. But but yeah, this is the little area. Little what did they call it? Courtyard. Courtyard. Yeah. And there’s massive construction going on outside. What? Yeah. Might as well leave it open then. Um construction corner. It’s very hot still. It is. Right. This heat is no joke here. And she’s wearing all black. I’m wearing all black because all black everything. Yeah. Because now my my whole back is out. So it’s not that bad. But I didn’t bring that many bottom options. So I only brought white trousers and black trousers. Right. And I want to wear the white trousers tomorrow because it’s going to be way too hot during the daytime to wear the black ones. like all like a back and I think the problem starts with the fact that it’s trousers. Yeah. But yeah, my other thing was cuz I brought a skirt as well and I brought a dress, but I can’t walk that long in like sandals or something. Yeah. Because I get blisters. So, I wanted to wear proper shoes which look a little bit silly with a skirt or a dress. Yeah. So, hence the pants. Yeah, it’s comfort to clarify. It’s comfort above everything. Yeah. So, I do look a little bit silly. No, you don’t. With the shoes on, but you just if I seen you just check. She must be really hot. I I’m actually not that bad. But then I look really silly as well. I’m literally I look like I’m wearing white and white. So, no, he actually doesn’t. He’s wearing a gray top and white shorts. Yeah. No, it’s not a good fit day. But hey, I like it. It is what it is. Oh, thank you. But we’re going over to SAS Setas that the the thing you see on all the Tik Toks and stuff. That’s where we’re going. Sevilla. Yeah, that’s the one. And then we’re going to grab some food. We had some snacks in the Airbnb. You had a good I had loads of snacks. Jeez. Uh there’s a shop over. Yeah. shop. There’s a shop next to us. So, we went over and I just got pastries and I’ve been eating those. Yeah. Loads of crisps as well. So, do I Right. Let’s Let’s go. Looks like uh We made it. Like what? This looks like a What is it? Like a beehive. Oh, yeah. I see that actually. Like a beehive. It’s actually massive. I don’t know if you can tell how big it actually is. Looks like a beehive. Oh, it gets to the screen. Yeah, that’s true. So, basically at night time, all of those are meant to light up. And I don’t know if you can see, but there’s another part there as well. Yeah, we’ll walk around and then you can walk to the top of it as well. Um, you just need to get tickets, which we’re not sure if we’re going to do. I think we probably should if we’re here. I think we should. Yeah. So, we’ll we’ll check it out, but we might wait until the evening maybe. Yeah, still siesta time. Yeah, they’re very strict on that here, but we’ll um So, it’s fairly quiet. So, but will we try going up here and see even just up the stairs there? And see what it looks like because you can go to the top of it somehow. Oh, and you can go under it as well. Oh, yeah. under there’s like a ancient something I don’t know the structure of it I don’t know some I don’t actually know yeah I will finish well yeah we’ll we’ll have a look and we’ll put in the actual details maybe with like a voiceover up or something of course we’ll have a look but we’re just at the top here oh yeah you can just like chill out have a seat we’ll figure out where to get the tickets hopefully maybe online that would be handy yeah you can definitely get them I’m like, how cool does this look though? They’re just silly little ones. But we never know what to get for our dad. We always have stuff on our lap like little knickknacks. No crazy. Yeah. But we never have anything for dad. So we said that maybe in this trip we’ll try they have a pair of socks now. Yeah. To be fair, we’re good in Tenneref cuz you got I got a hat. Yeah, we got t-shirts. You got Yeah. Did I get a t-shirt? I don’t know. I’m not sure. I think he got cap and I got t-shirts. Yeah. All nonsense stuff. But we do have loads to bring back as well. So, we need to be careful with that. Yeah. She already packed. Well, I had to prepack because my parents are coming over and if we have too much stuff that we need another suitcase, then they’re going to bring back one and then we only have then two large ones and two small ones instead of three large ones. Yeah, basically. We’re not going back for another like 18 days. Maybe when we sit down, we can have a little chitchat or something. But yeah, we decided to go home anyway, which is nothing we’ve ever said either. We didn’t decide. It’s kind of really Yeah, not really a decision, but a decision kind of. It’s not a decision what we wanted to make, but kind of what we had to make. We’ll chat about it later because I see some more knickknack shops. Easy. Nice. Let’s go. All the buildings are just beautiful. The windows and like all the, you know, it’s not just like a plain hospital look like we get these days. So much. It’s beautiful. Yeah. I hope so. Still got blue skies as well as you can see. I don’t know if I said it before, but Seville um was meant to be the third or the second hottest spot in Europe. Is it actually? Yeah. Sicily is the first really Sevilla and I think it was or maybe not. One of them. Yeah. Compet. Yeah, that’s wild. It makes sense. It’s roasting here. And also look I haven’t picked up. Oh yeah. Did you see the little sprinklers? Yeah. That’s because it’s so hot you down. See? And like it’s just there like near restaurants. So we could literally just pull off which is crazy. There was a sc. Well, that’s it. This is probably it though cuz there’s lots of narrow streets here. It’s going to open soon. All these Yeah. A lot of places actually that we were looking at. Well, few. Yeah. a few of the Tik Tok kind of recommended restaurants and stuff. They only open up around half eight. So, will we follow them or go down that way? Well, let’s go down that way. Yeah, we should have brought our watches actually to check our steps for the whole day. We were on 13,000 when we were home. Oh, really? I didn’t even check. That was That’s quite good actually. That’s actually quite good. See, that’s the thing. Like you if you didn’t have to walk everywhere, you’d actually have time to complete most of the things here. But like you don’t you don’t want to be driving around. Like you actually want to see the city. Yeah. Walk around. We enjoy walking around, don’t we? Like the little streets. Yeah, that’s true. We were both exhausted today. And also, initially what we wanted to do, I don’t know if he said it or not, we wanted to do Cil today, stay overnight here, maybe like get breakfast or something here in the morning or whatever, and then go over to Rhonda for a couple of hours tomorrow on Sunday. But now we’re thinking to stay here for tomorrow as well and explore a bit more because it’s so nice. And plus Ronda is only like what 15 minutes is about an hour drive from us. Again, it’s that bendy road that Yeah. So it’s not that far, but it’s cuz the roads are just Well, maybe that we can squeeze that one in as well before we get home. Yeah. And plus our friends have been there as well and they just said like while you’re here you may as well stay actually here cuz it’s nice here and Ronda is always here and Ronda wouldn’t be a full day either. So yeah they said a couple of hours maybe. Yeah. So we’ll be we’ll be recording that as well. So that’s fine. Oh for sure. Yeah. We’ll show around as well if we go. I feel like like all the cathedrals and I mean there’s all of that in Malaga as well because not I don’t know maybe there is not the same that it makes it a bit more unique. That is true. I like it. The one thing that’s missing for me here is beach. Yeah. But yet grand How far away is that? If they had a beach here. Oh, wait. Hold on. Let me replay that because that’s 200 km away. We were supposed to drive over with them, but we didn’t. Wonder how they actually got on. memorized. I don’t know. Yeah, cuz we were supposed to go last year, but we ended up going home earlier. We mentioned that before as well. Yeah. Um, so we ended up not being able to go to the actual trip. Where were we supposed to go? What was the what week was? Well, we had the boat at the hotel booked and everything. I know, but do you remember what week that was? I can’t remember. I think it was it was in July, I think. Right. So apparently this is a monument to Christopher Columbus. It consists of two tall columns topped with a lion and the coat of arms of Spain. I don’t I can’t wrap my head around what that is. The coat of arms of Spain. Coat? Yeah. I can’t figure out what that means. I don’t know. Maybe the thing is on top there. Maybe the ship represents Columbus’s voyages. Voyages. and it says uh Fernando and I said why does it say Fernando then? So it’s not actually See Chad you need to double check with it. It’s not actually it’s nothing to do with Christopher Columbus. So never mind all that. Yeah, it’s not for Columbus. I was thinking why is it here? Oopsie. Never mind then. It honors King Ferdinand third of Castile who conquered Seville from the Moors in 1248 and made it part of a Christian Spain. That makes more sense. And the same gardens looks very similar also to Colium which is why they let me see the Columbus monument. [Music] We’ll have to wait. We’ll have to go. This looks so cool. Oh, yeah. We are quite high up actually. Look. And you can see the town there. Look, you can see Mr. Moon over there. Wow. This is so cool. Watch your back then, Chrissy. Beautiful. There’s more on the right hand side there as you can see. And again, the town. Wow. It’s actually quite dark for a town though, isn’t it? Like there’s not that many lights with it within those buildings there. There’s lots of buildings in front of us. Cool. We’re at the very top of it now. And yeah, just chilling with the pizza. Right. one more time from the top cuz it’s just just wow. It is pricey. €16 per adult. Um I think kids under five were free and then kids up to 14 were €8. What was it? Yeah. Yeah. And then there was like for 13 year old or maybe 13 year actually. And then for €13 you had the um over 65s and I don’t know there’s few exceptions anyway for €13 unless you’re like local and stuff like that then it was for free cuz it’s just from the other side as well and I can just see people like having their food there in the back. Mr. the moon again. And then another mushroom there on the left, which I don’t think you can actually walk up onto. It kind of stops on the left there somewhere here. And also, we didn’t say it earlier, but you can also get like an um guided tour on your phone, like an audio one, which is cool. You can just scan it. I’ll show you from the other side as well because we got different colors here. I know. I know. [Music] Pizza surviving. Look, we’re even getting fireworks. Right. So, this is the next morning. So, good morning. Morning. We are just going to explore a bit further into Seville and show you around once again. Yeah, we’re going to plastic things in the morning. Yeah, cuz we didn’t really want to miss that cuz I feel like if you come to Seville like Yeah. you need to do that. So, and it’s kind of in the waterish of It’s a solid like half an hour walk, isn’t it? 30 minutes. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Uh 1 and a half km 2 km I think. Yeah. Like almost No, it was 2k. Yeah. So, yeah, we’re going to show you around. It’s a really nice morning. The weather is actually perfect. So, yeah, people are already out and about. We’re kind of scared that everything’s going to be closed, but doesn’t seem like it. So, everything’s open at 11 or 12, I think. But you see, Marba shops only open on Sundays for the summer time. So, it’s coming up to that time where they will be closing now on Sundays. So, we just weren’t sure, but it looks like that’s not the case here. And this is the other side of the cathedral. It’s just beautiful. Oh, and that’s the tree. It is so beautiful. Wow. We were hunting for breakfast and coffee cuz our Airbnb didn’t have any like coffee coffee pods or like coffee tea, anything like that. They had an espresso machine, but they didn’t have any anything to go inside it. So, it’s quite weird. Well, quite rude. Quite weird, I say. Oh, I thought you say weird. I mean, look, if I had my own Airbnb, I’d make sure that there’s coffee and tea at least. But it was a nice day to be fair. We’re not complainers at all. So, we might put it in if we don’t forget. Maybe. Yeah. Yeah. You could tell it’s an old building and like an Had a lot of character. Yeah. And especially for the price that we paid. Yeah. It wasn’t that bad cuz 80 nights, was it? Yeah. So, it actually wasn’t that bad in comparison to as well especially. So, and it wasn’t that far. No, not at all. Took us about 10 minutes to walk over from the car. 20 minutes. 10 minutes. Oh, yeah. So beautiful. And we were saying yesterday like it does feel safe here, doesn’t it? Yeah, it does. I think the architecture here is crazy. Yeah, we were just saying about the camera cut off. We feel really safe here. No, I’m sure there’s crimes and stuff, but just feel safe. Yeah, it doesn’t seem like there is something. I mean, I’m sure it happens, but we need to go in there. I just showed them this building. Can you see? Nice. Kasa Sevilla. So, that’s Kasa Sevilla according to the map. Cool. So, we’re getting close to the area now. This is giving me like Buckingham Palace. I was actually say we are here. Oh, I see the river. The river. Well, I don’t know the water. I think it’s like a bit. Oh, look. Oh, yeah. But look, there’s the Oh, that’s an actual person singing. Tons of goldfish in there. Oh, there’s a big boy. There’s a paper. [Music] So, you can actually run boats there as well. People are going on a This place is absolutely beautiful. And there’s a singer. So, we just came inside the building now. My head is bouncing from no coffee. Actually, sorry. My head is bouncing. It’s like, oh, coffee. See, I really should have got a silly silly mess. Oh, no. Uh, it’s going to be there for the day. I’d say the headbands. Oh, really? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Look how beautiful. looked up some fun facts about this place. I don’t know if you can see this. But it was in Star Wars. How cool is that? And all those tiles that you see there, they’re for each province of Spain apparently, which is a pretty fun fact as well. But yeah, this place is 10 out of 10. 10 out of 10 for sure. Bet you thought I was going to say beautiful, as I always do, but no. So, yeah. Plaza de Espa. Is that it? Yeah. Plaza Espa. Yeah. See? So, we are all photo shooted out and we have the little POV. I don’t know if you can see, but there’s a POV camera. So, it’s the in Insta 360 Go Tree S, which is like the really cool mighty pocket camera, and we’re just testing it out. So far, I think the quality is better than what I thought it would be. It’s good. Yeah, it does get really hot. Yeah, but I think that’s because like we’re literally here and like it’s such a tiny camera. Um record time. Yeah, there’s not much record time. But I’d say maybe about 2 hours. But you have to remember that’s why you sacrifice when the camera is so tiny. It is so powerful. So small. Um but yeah, it’s really cool. Probably wouldn’t really use it. Half an hour is a lot to be fair. [Music] And this is the little fountain that we’re in front of right now. And that’s the building there. Honestly, the camera just does not do it justice by the looks of it. It’s actually just breathtaking here. That’s what I look like. We have Ian and we went to Zara and now we’re just literally exhausted. So, we’re just going to go find some more knickknacks and drinks. Probably. Yeah, drinks and then probably head back home. So, we’re back home now. And you remember the pastries that we were showing you yesterday or like in the evening yesterday. We got two of them. So, we got like a It looks like a cookie. I think that is a cookie. Yeah. And then a cinnamon bun. So, we’re going to enjoy those. And that’s it. Nice. Okay, so we’re back. I had to delete a couple of things cuz the camera was full or take this pillow off. Yeah, card was full. But yeah, we’re back home anyway. We’re going to have a bit of pastry, shower, relax, and settle down cuz I am exhausted. Yeah, Ory are killing us after that. But that was 10 out of 10. Yeah, for me 10 out of 10. It was so nice. would definitely recommend, but I think you need at least at least 3 days to walk around and like fully enjoy it because it’s so beautiful. It’s very hot. So, be prepared for that. And it’s big as well. So, like it’s huge. Yeah. You can do a lot in two days just like what we did, but you’ll be exhausted like Yeah. We’re so tired. And the drive back, it was driving up the mountain and then down from the mountain. It was so like so many bends. So, that’s why it takes so long. Like it’s not that far. Yeah, like if you’re flying in for it to be your holiday destination. Oh, yeah. Perfect. I think it’s kind of nice to be fair. People are nice. Loads of food options. Yeah. Yeah. Perfect. Yeah, it was good. Yeah. So much to do. Exactly. Yeah. We’ve ticked off loads of things to be fair. Mhm. We did. Anyway, see you next week. We will see you next
