Visit Seville in a few days | What to see and do in Seville in 3 days | Sevilla Spain

[Music] Located in the heart of Andalosia in southern Spain, Seville is one of the most charming and vibrant cities in the country. [Music] Known for its unique blend of history, art, gastronomy, and passion, the Andalucian capital captivates visitors with its warm atmosphere, hospitality, and lively pace of life. The highlight, it’s historic center, one of the largest in Europe, where traces of Roman, Islamic, Jewish, and Christian cultures coexist. Iconic monuments such as the Seville Cathedral, the Hialda, the Royal Alcathar, and the Pla Despa are essential stops that reflect centuries of cultural splendor. So, let’s take a closer look at all of these aspects so you can experience this beautiful city with me. [Music] The construction of the Seville Cathedral began in 1401 and ended in 1506. It was built on the same site of the old Alama mosque of Seville whose minouret the Hiralda the symbol of Seville and the courtyard are still preserved. One of its first master builders was Master Carlin or Charles Gala of French origin who had already worked on other European Gothic cathedrals. On the exterior, it has three doorways, one on each side of the transcept and two at the head. It also has another doorway that gives access to the patio of the orange trees and another that connects to the church of the tabernacle. The main entrance is the pua deassunion located in the center of the main facade with greater proportions and somnity than the adjacent doorways that flank it. The Herala of Seville is the iconic bell tower of the cathedral, an undisputed symbol of the city. Originally the minouret of the old 12th century mosque. The upper Christian section with the bells was added later. At almost 100 m high, it offers stunning views of the historic center. Its blend of Islamic and Renaissance styles reflect Seville’s rich cultural history. The interior of the Cathedral of Seville impresses with its five extremely high naves which create a sense of grandeur and somnity. The particularly wide central nave is illuminated by Gothic stained glass windows that fill the space with color. Inside you’ll find masterpieces of sacred art and the majestic main alterpiece, one of the largest in all of the world. Was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1987 and recognized by the Guinness World Records as the cathedral with the largest surface in the world in 1988. [Music] Very close to the cathedral, we can find the Royal Alcatar of Seville. It is one of the oldest palaces in use in the world. A palace that has experienced different stages in time from the end of the 11th century to present day. Its walls have contemplated the influence of different cultures that have passed through Seville. Next to the Royal Alcathar is the General Archive of the Indies. This building was created in 1785 at the request of King Charles III with the aim of centralizing in a single place the documentation relating to the administration of the Spanish overseas territories. The archive preserves some 43,000 files with some 80 million pages and 80,000 maps and drawings. [Music] And what would Seville be without its elegant Maria Louisisa Park which boasts the most famous square in the city and probably the world. Plasa despa or the square of Spain designed by the architect Anibal Gonzalez was built between 1914 and 1929. [Music] The square has large dimensions 170 m in diameters in a semi-eleptical shape which symbolizes Spain’s embrace of its former American territories looking towards the Guadal River as a route to follow towards America. Its plan responds closely to the former scheme of the type of palladium villa with curved wings shown by the Italian architect Andrea Paladio. Seville is also known for its festive atmosphere and street life. In spring, the city is transformed with two of its most iconic celebrations, the Seanas Santa and the Feria Dabriel, where devotion, color, and flamnco blend. [Music] [Music] [Music] He know. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Walking from the cathedral to the Guazir River, we find the Tora del Oro. It is an Albarana tower or defensive tower in muder style detached from the city wall built by the governor Abu Lula in the year 1220. [Music] Since we’re talking about Andalucosia, its sunny climate throughout most of the year, and the beauty of the Guadal River, which runs through the city, complete the experience of one of Spain’s most romantic and authentic cities, which you cannot miss.
