Things To Do in Valldemossa, Mallorca, in One Day
[Music] Hi guys, we are in Vald de Mosa which is one of the most charming little towns in Mayoska in Spain. [Music] We flew from Malaga to Mayora to spend a week of exploring. We rented a car to get around and the first town we visited was Val Mosa. While walking around the old town, we stopped for a coffee in one of the historic cafes that we love so much. Well done. What a waste of food. Fueled and coffin, we continued our walk past ancient buildings, cute shops, and vibrant squares. There’s so much soul indeed. [Music] We slowly made our way to Plaza Toy where you find the main attractions in Valasa. The main sites are the monastery and the palace which both have entrances opposite of each other at the end of the square. We’re headed to the shop museum. I actually don’t know how to say it. Um but apparently you can see the piano that he used when he composed here in the monastery. So just to make it clear, this is not the piano he composed with. But who knows, maybe Muhammad has a bright future. The Chopasel is located inside the Cartusian monastery, but it’s a separate ticket. On the way there, we got a peak of the inner courtyards. [Music] When we reach Japan’s cell, we were delighted to see his actual piano and also his scribbles and notes on the walls. [Music] It was first when we had a look outside at the garden and its incredible views that we truly understood how the composer got his inspiration to write some of his best work while living there. [Music] [Music] [Music] Um, this place is absolutely amazing, especially the gardens too with those views. So, Shopan spent the winter of 1838 and to 1839 here in Mosa and he stayed in this cell here at the monastery. [Music] Guys, now we’re going into Palacio Sancho and also up to the tower for some amazing views. Apparently, the Palastia de Sancho was built in the early 1300s after the reconquest by Sancho’s father, King Kad II of Maya. It was used as the king’s residence until it was gifted to the Cartusian monks at the end of the 1300s. Inside the palace, we started the climb to the top of the tower. Look at this view. It was definitely worth the climb. No wonder why so many artists have been living here and been inspired. So beautiful. After the palace, we visited the monastery. Between 1399 and 1835, Cartusian monks lived in the monastery in Verasa. This old pharmacy was possibly my favorite room. Just look at that ceiling. [Music] The church inside was also nice, but our favorite feature was without a doubt the fresco ceilings. [Music] We could also visit another beautiful garden in the monastery. [Music] I just love the views everywhere here. Look at that. [Music] After visiting the monastery, we spent more time just wandering around the streets of the old town. The history of Alasa isn’t really recognized to start before King Ka the first conquered the island from the Mors in the early 13th century. But even before the Muslims, the Romans had conquered the area as long back as year 123 BC. I’m going to go check out the church of San B. Honestly, it didn’t really impress us that much. [Music] Just walking around the streets in this village is absolutely amazing. It’s so beautiful around every corner. So many like cute streets and pot plants and just look at that. [Music] So much prettier around here. And then I’m walking around with this man. The art of balance. The art of balance. Oh [Music] [Music] Heat. Hey, Heat. [Music] the same monaster we are inside. Yeah, it is. [Music] [Music] an old washing place. [Music] [Music] That was it from Vasa, guys. Stay tuned for the next vlogs as we explore more of Maya.
