Sagrada Familia : The devil that Gaudi hid in Sagrada Familia 🤯

The tallest structure in the world among the
holy places that created the stages of Jesus Christ’s life and extraordinary carvings, and this
structure is registered as unfinished in UNESCO. Sagrada Familia is a huge Catholic church
that is considered one of the most famous and attractive tourist spots in the city of
Barcelona, Spain. This church is so big and vast that despite not having an episcopal
seat, it is often known as the cathedral. It has 12,800 square meters and is made of three
sections with different names and 18 tall towers. The construction of the Sagrada Familia church
began in 1882 with the idea of a book seller. The architect and designer of this huge and
magnificent structure is a person named Antoni Gaudi, who created the Sagrada Familia with a
combination of Gothic style and his innovative style, Pope Benedict XVI on September 7, 2010.
He opened the unfinished Sagrada Familia and from then on it was known as the great church.
Gaudí dedicated the last years of his life to the construction of this church, and it is interesting
to know that when Gaudí died at the age of 73, less than a quarter of the project was completed.
Since the source of income and funding for the construction of Sagrada Familia comes from public
donations, the construction process of Sagrada Familia is slow. It is interesting that despite
Sagrada Familia being unfinished, this church is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Gaudí intended to explain the Christian beliefs through the architecture and
the beauty of the building and convey the message of the Christian missionaries.
Elements of Sagrada architecture are mixed with the symbols of Christian hierarchy
and therefore each of its 18 towers has a special meaning. In the middle part, the tower
is dedicated to Jesus and the 4 towers around it represent the 4 Bibles. The tower above the
altar is with A star decorated on his head is a symbol of the Holy Mary and the other 12
towers represent the apostles and eyewitnesses of the teachings and actions of the Messiah.
Wherever you look at the church, you will see 18 magnificent and tall towers, which gradually
increase in height towards the middle tower, which is the tower of Prophet Jesus.
Towards the Lord, also the pyramidal and exterior view of the magnificent structure
of the courtyards and the top of each tower, which seems to be a part of the sky, add to
this effect. It is interesting to know that Sagrada Familia is considered one of the tallest
structures in the world among the holy places. In this church, the life of Jesus Christ is
depicted in three main parts, each part narrates one of the important events in the life of Jesus
Christ, his birth and arrival in Jerusalem, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,
his current state and his bright future. When the sun moves in the sky, sunlight adds a
special effect and glory to the facade of each tower, Gaudi designed the lighting inside the
church in such a way as to add to the harmony and spiritual atmosphere of the courtyards.
The branched columns inside the church, in addition to their function, reflect Gaudí’s idea
about a church, he believes that the church should be like a forest that calls the worshipers to
itself and is the Lord’s Supper ceremony itself. Among the columns and on the roof, colorful,
golden and green windows can be seen, which are designed to reduce the load on the
roof and increase the light in the building, tiles are also used in the interior design, which
reflect the light. They add internal lighting, and all the colored glasses of the altar
gradually change color, which help to create an introspective and holy atmosphere.
Gaudí was able to make a wonderful use of color in the architecture of
Sagrada Familia so that the sunlight, the tips of the towers and the windows shine with
the sunrise. The head at the birth of Jesus shone in a way that depicted the passion and glory
of the birth of Jesus. Gaudí believed that the color is a hearty manifestation of life
that has given life to the Sagrada Familia. Birth of the Anointing Section: This section was
built between 1894 and 1930 and is considered the first completed section of the Sagrada. Life is
decorated. One of the characteristics of Gaudí’s naturalistic style is the use of natural elements
in design and architecture. For example, the three porticos of this section are separated by two
columns, at the end of each column is a sea turtle and A land turtle . It can be seen that these
two turtles each symbolize sea and land, and two chameleons can be seen on each side of the gate,
which are symbols of change and transformation. The part of the sufferings of Christ: in
front of the part of the birth of Christ, there is the part of the sufferings of Christ,
which has a bitter, simple and clean image, made with simple and rough lines and is like
bare bones. In this part of the sufferings of Christ It depicts the time of being
dragged to Salabah and seeing the sins of a person. The construction of Masaeb
Masah department started in 1954 and was done based on the designs and models left
by Gaudi, the construction of the towers of this department was finished in 1976. And
several years later, a group of sculptors began to work on the external decorations
of the towers with angular and rough shapes, because they intended to implement Gaudí’s goal
of creating fear and illusion in the audience, using the thick light shadow of the columns.
And the broken arches were for the same reason. In the sufferings of Christ section,
three stories are displayed, which part The first story is about the last
night before the crucifixion. The glory section is the largest and most
significant section, the construction of which began in 2002. The glory section is the
main part of the church and it allows access to the central court. , the resurrection and the
exalted position of that Prophet are depicted. To reach the portico of glory, one
has to pass through a staircase above the underground part of Carrer de Mayorca.
This way is decorated with images of hell, devils, demons, idols and false gods.
