  1. I love your videos! I love the music, your dialog, the still photography and the videos. Thanks, from those of us who cannot get to the places you go to.

  2. So well done, from the Immense grandeur to the beauty of those ever present small things so easily overlooked. It's very obvious that you have seen and heard  it. Not simply looked at it, but saw it. Not simply listened to it, but heard it, and felt it deeply. I wish you all the very best in your journey……..

  3. Some day I will go to. I would love to see for myself. I would not have known if not for you and your videos. Thanks so much you are awesome!

  4. Your video made my eyes leak. I can't get out that far anymore but am blessed to see it through you eyes. Stay safe, stay adventurous, and know you and your efforts are much appreciated. No regrets.

  5. The High Sierra has been my home range for mountaineering and fishing over several decades and your clips do it justice. The venomous snake analogy is an apt one for those of us who have seen her at her best and worst in all 4 seasons. You never conquer the mountains: they sometimes let you visit a while but they let you know when it is time to leave and wise people listen.

  6. Absolutely breathtaking! I really don’t know how you ever finished your trek with all the video you must’ve taken! Very beautiful scenery, which you captured to the delight of many thousands of people!

  7. By far the best video I have seen on here so far. As a guy who spent years out there in them thank you. Sitting in TN waiting for surgery and biding time until I can return and be a parking lot warrior/hiker. Probably start at Mono behind Tom's. That's a short one to top and river is gorgeous.

  8. This is truly amazing. That shot at 7:34 – wow! I live in Northern Cal and I am only one rediscovering the Sierra's. You really have a great video here, thanks for the post.
Have you posted anywhere which locations these are?

  9. What an absolutely wonderful video of the high Sierra, thank you! I love the rivers and waterfalls, and the areas of granite rocks and firs, I watched this going 'wow!' all the way through. Absolutely beautiful!

  10. I started watching these videos a few weeks ago and I can't stop. Dixie, you do a great job on these and I'm sure it's not easy walking and talking at the same time. There is something comforting about laying on your couch and watching your videos. Will you make more? I'll be heading to Crater Lake in July

  11. I remember growing up going to Utah all the time my Dad loved the rocks. I remember him climbing the bathtub Rock because he said there was water in it all year long and he did it in his cowboy boots. Well he ended up moving to God's country that he called it Twain Harte a little bit above Sonora he loved it there and is buried there. I've grown to love it too!
