24 Hours Solo in Barcelona 🇪🇸 | Gothic Quarter, La Boqueria, Sagrada Família

[Music] [Music] Hello you guys. Welcome or welcome back to my channel. As you seen by the title of this video, I’m currently in Barcelona, Spain. I actually got here 2 days ago on my birthday and I was supposed to leave today, but I decided to stay an extra day because I was like, I haven’t explored as much as I wanted. I didn’t go to the Buleria market. I just want to roam around. I haven’t shopped or anything besides going to Brandy Melville yesterday and getting this sweater and another sweater as well. But I want to just get out, do more, and actually have the final experience where I truly do explore Barcelona. The past two days were really fun. I went canoeing yesterday. I actually went to the market yesterday, but they were closed. I didn’t know that the market was closed. So that’s why I was like, uh, I have to stay an extra day. So yeah, come along with me for a day in Barcelona. So I made it, you guys. Tickets are all sold out, unfortunately. It’s still a nice view, you know. Look how big it is. And the fact that they’re still building this is actually insane. They trying to sell all these ornaments and stuff. They need to be selling tickets. That’s what I need. I don’t need an ornament. I want a ticket. We’re going to head back to the Gothic district to go shopping. Yes. I’m at the train station now. I’m waiting for the L5. I’m actually going to head to the Beria market because I’m kind of hungry. And if I’m going to eat, I might as well just eat there. We made it. Yay. I do want to try an empanada and a smoothie as well. I’m just hoping they have gluten-free empanadas. I know that’s so like, you know, but I ate some gluten yesterday um at the restaurant that I went to. The only thing was it felt like the top of my mouth was peeling. Weird enough. Like my mouth was falling apart. [Music] I got a strawberry banana smoothie. It’s good. I like this. I like this a lot. It’s weird though cuz I’m like, what else is in here? This can’t just be strawberries. It tastes too sweet to be strawberries and bananas, you know? I think I’m going to try this. Hello. Here it is. I’m hoping this is good. Like African fried rice, y’all. That food was out of 10. Food in general. It was just like a regular. It was a regular meal. Got my fruit. Let’s head out. I am I’m still hungry. Or maybe I’m thirsty. That’s That’s what it is. I’m just thirsty. I’m really thirsty. I need some water. Let me cross and get out of here first before I start eating this because there’s so many birds and people. We’re going to head to Zara because I need some more clothes. Like the mango I went into. I didn’t like the mango. Now it’s time to go to Zara. Brandy Mville. See what other things we can find. I want some jewelry. Jewelry gifts. Clothes. But that’s on the itinerary for today. I made it to the fitting room. I’m trying on. Here’s the first outfit. I don’t know how I feel about this. I saw it and I like the asymmetrical part of it, but I don’t know. Feel like it looks a little bit wonky. Okay, number two. We have this jacket. I really like the design of it. I think it fits very nice. I’ll put this black shirt that they have cuz I think I’m going to get this. I think I love this actually. I don’t know. Let me tuck my necklace. My necklace is distracting me. This is so me. This is like very chic. Okay, I think I’m going to get this. You guys, I love this dress. I’m actually obsessed. I’m getting this. And I’m going to get that jacket that I tried on last. This is like my dream dress. I actually have a dress similar to this from Mirage, but this is so much better. This is the color. So, I’m literally speechless. €35. That’s it. I’m getting this 100%. [Music] All done shopping. I’m so glad I stayed an extra day. You don’t even understand. Like, I found so many gems and seen stuff that I missed the day before. I’m headed back to the hotel. My feet are aching me, but I do still want to go out. So, I’m probably going to wear something that I just bought. Forgot to show youall the part where I walk into a dungeon to get to my hotel. This is what I’m staying. It’s the outside. I didn’t even show you guys. And I had to enter a cold in. [Music] Y’all, it was a trick getting to the apartment. I mean the hotel room. I was like, “Where am I? What’s going on? Why is there no receptionist? Where’s the lobby? Like, where are all the people?” I was so confused. I was just irritated. But it’s beautiful though. Slay. I don’t even know what my view is. Terrence sit outside. really get to take my shoes off. Lord knows. Let me turn on this lamp. These shoes hurt. So, these shoes don’t even hurt that bad. It’s just the fact that I wore ballet flats all day yesterday and the ballet flats were hitting the side of my toes badly. Let me do a quick haul of everything that I got. So, we’re going to start off with the Zara bag. Well, actually, we’ll do jewelry first. I did get some jewelry. This is a gift. I wanted one for myself, but they completely sold out. Then I got this necklace for myself. I don’t often wear much jewelry. I just wear like basic necklaces and basic earrings, but I want to up my jewelry collection. And then I bought this necklace. It’s a double stack necklace. I never had a double stack necklace before, so I was like, I want to give this a try. And I typically don’t get necklaces with butterflies or logos. I just get it plain. So, these two necklaces are like very not on brand for me, which I’m excited about because step out of your comfort zone. And lastly, I got these earrings. I don’t know if you can see. Yeah, these are really beautiful to me. The goldplated is like the goldplated of my earring. And this was only $16.99, so maybe about $20, which is not bad at all. I think I paid $80 for this. If I’m not mistaken, I paid $70 or $80 for this. And yeah, that’s all the jewelry I got. So, in total, I paid about $80 US. Very good deal. Now, we have the Zara. Okay, this beautiful dress. I think I’m actually going to wear this tonight. This is so beautiful. I love a Spanish style dress. This is my type of dress. It was only €36, which I feel like in the US it would have been $80. Then, I got this basic black top from Zara. This was €13. It’s always hard for me to find a basic long sleeve shirt that I like and that’s fitted well. This fit absolutely perfectly. I like stuff that’s stretch. I don’t like stuff that’s just cotton and stale. Certain brands, their black isn’t really black. Their black is like a black gray and I don’t like that. I feel like it washes me out. Lastly, from Zara, my favorite thing. This jacket. This jacket was $80. $80. That’s I don’t know how much that is in US. I’m going to say about $90. $87 $90. This at the Zara in the US is probably like $150, $200, I don’t know. But this, the quality, I just look so good. Lastly, I got off track. I got this sweater from Brandy. I think the Brandies are like the same. This, I believe, was either 28 or $38. I think it was $38. And then I got this sweater from the Brandy as well. I already wore it, so it might have a little makeup stain on it. But I think this is really, really such a cute sweater, especially for fall. That’s all that I bought on this trip. I’ve just been spending money on museums pretty much. The museums here are so expensive. They’ve been like 30, 40. I was going to go to a museum today, but then I was like, I’m tired of spending money on museums. I want to buy clothes now. I just want to take something back with me. So yeah, let’s get changed and head out to the town. Here is the dress. I wish this lamp worked. Come on. I hope you can see my outfit cuz this lamp is broken. I’m wearing this dress that I got. Super cute. I feel like it gives Spain, you know? Look at the sleeves of it. I think I’m a 20-minute train away from the place. But we do need to head I forgot. We do need to head to the market to grab some fruit and some more of that dried candy cuz those dried strawberries, those dried strawberries were so good. Like if you’re going to the market, just go for those dried strawberries. The kiwi was okay. The strawberries, the strawberries were so good. Let’s head out and head to the market. Okay, round two. Back at the market. I feel like my outfit is screaming right now. I’m just wearing like this shiny. It’s not even shiny. It’s just like multiolor and it has gold which makes it look like it’s shiny but it’s not. Maybe I should get some chocolate too. Uh I came back for the mixed fruit. Do you just have strawberry or but that has sugar right? No sugar. Okay. Strawberry. I was just here in a different but I’m still the same. Let me see how much. Thank you. Want to try the mango? Thank you. How much for the grape? It’s too big. It’s too much. 192. Uh, more. Okay, we’re going to get some pistachio chocolate as well for the flight. We’re just going to try it. I feel like, you know, in order to actually know that it’s good for the flight, I have to try it and Mhm. Yep. And because I tried it now, now I know that tomorrow on the flight it will be good. Mhm. Let me try one more time. Let me try one more time. Let me try. No, I’m joking. Okay, let’s go to the rooftop. I’m back inside, you guys. Most of the places I went to were closed and then my feet started hurting because I’ve been wearing heels this whole trip. No sneakers. Ballet flats that I have hurt my feet. So, I was just like, “You know what? Let me Uber.” And then I Ubered back. I was Ubering to this sushi restaurant, but then I was looking at the price. It was like €7 for a plate, whatever, whatever. And I was like, I got bills to pay. Okay. So, yeah. And I’m like, should I roam around and get me some food around here? I have to look up what’s around here cuz I’m going to pack my bags and we’re going to have a good night’s sleep, okay? Cuz yesterday’s sleep was magnificent. [Music] Okay, you guys, it’s the next morning. I am all set and ready to head out. I actually headed to the market that I went to yesterday to grab some more um stuff because I was like, uh, I need some more of those strawberries. I ate all of it. I am an hour away from the airport. I’m going to head down and actually bring my stuff to the other SER hotel that is across the street. Also, recommendation. If you’re like, “Oh, I need a hotel.” This is not it. Let me take you through the dungeon. [Music] All right. Barcelona. Okay. Out of 10, four. The room was cute, but the bed was uncomfortable. The AC was broken. I was like, “Y’all give me a break. Why is the AC Why is the heat broken? It’s yours.” And I was like, “You’re not doing anything.” I saw your eyes light up like, “Okay, I’ll be back.” Do you need a taxi to build a taxi for you? Uh, no taxi. Can I actually leave this one, too? this this backpack. Yes, please. Thank you so much. I will see you soon. I just wanted to check out a few more spots before I head out. I have it from Egypt, Copenhagen, Sweden. Let me see. I need to give my sister a gift as well. I don’t have any money. Oh my gosh, I’m running out of money. Let me see. I’ll give my sister the earrings that I got cuz I got to go and I have to pay for my food at the airport. Okay y’all, I’m leaving Spain. I am headed on my flight. I’m going to close this video out. Uh I had so much fun on this trip. So many fun things that I’ve done. I was so happy that I got to go shopping. The clothes that I got were phenomenal. Like that was my that’s actually my favorite part of the trip was going shopping. and even getting my dinner wear that I just got today. Like the jewelry, dinner wear. I just love Spain. I love walking through the alleys over here. It feels like I’m in a different time. Every day that I’m walking through these alleys, there’s water on the floor and someone’s power washing. And I truly appreciate that because the streets don’t smell at all. New York, get to power washing because them streets smell disgusting, terrible, atrocious.

In this vlog, I explore the Gothic Quarter, visit La Sagrada Família (even though the tickets were sold out), try food at Mercat de La Boqueria, shop at Zara + Mango, and enjoy the most aesthetic solo travel day in Barcelona.

I started my day visiting Sagrada Família, walking through the stunning architecture, and then headed to La Boqueria Market to try paella, fresh fruit, smoothies, and desserts from different vendors. After that, I wandered through the Gothic District, explored small shops, looked for jewelry, and stopped at Zara and Mango before going back to my hotel to do a haul of everything I purchased and get ready for dinner.

The next morning, I checked out of my hotel and strolled through the Gothic Quarter again searching for lastminute souvenirs. I ended up finding the cutest dinnerware for my apartment before heading to the airport ✈️
