The Toledo Cathedral is one of the greatest Gothic cathedrals of Europe known as the Primada Cathedral of Spain. Its construction spanned more than two centuries which explains its stylistic richness. The interior houses artistic treasures such as the sacry, the transparent and the choir stalls. Its main chapel and stained glass windows reflect the grandeur of medieval art. It represents the spiritual and historical importance of Toledo as the former capital of Castile. Number nine, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar in Tharagosa. The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar is one of the most important Marian shrines in the Catholic world. According to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared here to the Apostle James on the pillar of Jasper. Its Barack architecture with its towers and domes decorated with tiles is truly unmistakable. Inside the chapel of our lady of the pillar and the works by Goya are particularly noteworthy. It is also an important pilgrimage site and the symbol of Theago. Number eight, the hanging houses of Quanka. The hanging houses are a group of medieval dwellings perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the War River Gorge. Their architecture suspended over the rock face creates a striking and unique image. Although few of the original houses remain, the current ones continue to be a symbol of the city. Number seven, Balenthia’s city of arts and sciences. Designed by Santiago Kalatraa and Felix Candela, this futuristic complex is dedicated to scientific and cultural outreach. Its buildings are distinguished by their organic forms and their use of the color white and water. It includes iconic buildings such as the hemispheric, the science museum, and the oceanographic. It has become a contemporary icon of Valencia and a benchmark of modern architecture. Its open surroundings invite you to stroll and admire its design. Number six, La Sagrada Familia of Barcelona. The Sagrada Familia is probably the world’s most famous unfinished temple and Antony Gaudi’s masterpiece. Its architecture combines modernist natural and religious elements in a very unique design. The nativity, passion and glory facads represent different moments in the life of Christ. It is a symbol of Barcelona and one of the most visited monuments in Europe. Number five, the Leon Cathedral. The Leon Cathedral is one of the finest examples of classical Gothic architecture in Spain. Its most outstanding feature is the stained glass windows. The Segoia Aqueduct is a masterpiece of Roman engineering built in the 1st century AD. Its imposing granite arches assembled without mortar demonstrate the technical precision of the era. Its presence dominates the Plaad del Ajo and it has become a symbol of the city. Number three, the Pla Despa in Sevida. Built for the 1929 Ibro American Exposition, Pla Despa is one of Sevilla’s most iconic urban spaces. It features a regionalist style that blends renaissance, barack and muda elements.
