Hiking the Sierra Nevada with my 1 Year Old

foreign [Music] [Music] foreign good morning today we’re hiking to a beautiful High Alpine Lake here on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and we might actually make it up to more than one Lake I know one like we’re going to is has a pretty good trail that leads up to it and I’m not too sure what the second lake is like on my map there’s not really a trail so gotta see if there’s a trail once we get there but anyway it’s a beautiful Summer’s Day and we’re looking forward to having a good day out as a family thank you [Music] foreign [Music] to the John Muir woodiness so we just passed the turn off for Bishop pass and to Treasure Lakes we went to Bishop pass Direction and we’re going to be making a sharp left onto the Marie Louise Lakes which is a series of little Lakes again I’ve been to the first one and the second one which I haven’t been to hopefully there’s a trail it’s called the in constable Lake I believe I I could be wrong with that but we’ll see how this goes coming into the Marie Louise Lakes turn off how exciting I haven’t been here in about exactly a year if you’ve seen one of my videos where I was chased away from a lake from the thunderstorm well this is that Lake Marie Luis beautiful Lake we have a bit of a climb coming up this Trail kind of dips down as we get onto it and then it’s uh it’s a pretty good climb up to the lake but very rewarding views once you do get to the lake and if you’re a fisherman or a fisherwoman bring your fishing rod and bring some flies and you cannot go wrong this this lake is overflowing with trout and ah can’t wait to see it [Music] it’s a pretty good hike once you cross the little stream you start making your way up probably a 30 35 grade all the way up but well worth it once you get up here because it’s so pretty we have arrived to Marie Louise Lake [Music] foreign [Music] gorgeous what do you think ribs absolutely gorgeous [Music] foreign just found this little Hidden Lake back here just above Marie Luis Lakes it’s interesting because none of these Lakes are on the map either so you’ve got to kind of guess where the lakes are based on based on where the uh where the streams are running but wow this water oh look at the trout there’s a trout out there yeah this Waters oh yeah some good size beautiful oh this is a good place to fish if you’ve got uh got your rod and flies there’s some more fish right here yeah a little bit small but this is really shallow too so it shouldn’t be too hard at all to catch fish up here oh it should be a nice place to pitch a tent too have this Lake all to yourself I know no one here so peaceful a little marshy but other than that it’s wonderful so just above Marie Luis there’s like this faint Trail we think that we see going up the hillside up here so we’ll see if that gets us up to this next Lake which I think is called inconsolable something like that we’ll see yeah I think I see a faint Trail could be an animal track but I think I see something going along through here so it must be up along there maybe up over that little path [Applause] foreign time to head back down just had a nice little lunch up here and time to head back and go camping I’m gonna go camping somewhere up here in Sierra we’re not sure where yet but there are many campsites to be had so hike back and then just have a nice relaxing weekend up here [Music] [Music] [Music] just found such a good spot here at four Jeffrey campgrounds we’re in the Eastern Sierra a beautiful Summer’s Day and we’re looking forward to car camping we have a car camped in so long so it should be a very enjoyable experience having all of our luxuries with us but anyway I need to go pay for this site [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] smells so good [Music] [Music] um look at him sitting there foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music]
