our only day under 100 degrees in seville (world trip day 9)
Day nine of traveling the world for a year and today was our only day in Sevilla under 100 degrees. So, we had to make it count. We started at the Real Alazar and spent the whole morning wandering through the palace and gardens. It’s easy to see why Game of Thrones filmed here. We didn’t want to leave, but we did. After about 3 hours, a quick siesta and we headed to the Sevilla Cathedral. We climbed the bell tower and in case you didn’t know, there are 34 ramps to climb to reach the top, but the views are worth the leg day workout. Inside the cathedral was beautiful and a little overwhelming. It’s filled with religious artifacts, artwork, and tombs, including the tomb of Christopher Columbus. We lost track of time and stayed until closing. They kicked us out before we were able to see everything. Guess we’ll have to come back. It was a great start to our week in Sevilla.
