SAN SEBASTIÁN (Donostia) – Summer Walk in País Vasco, Spain | 4K, 60fps HDR

Welcome to San Sebastián (Donostia), a coastal gem in Spain’s Basque Country, known for its elegant beaches, world-class cuisine, rich history, and charming architecture. Nestled along the Bay of Biscay, San Sebastián mix natural beauty with cultural depth, offering a perfect setting for a peaceful and inspiring walk. Whether you’re drawn by its glistening La Concha Bay, its historic Old Town, or its vibrant culinary scene, San Sebastián is a destination that delights all senses.

We begin our journey in San Sebastián at the elegant Puente de María Cristina, with its ornate pillars and river views, before heading toward the stunning Cathedral of the Good Shepherd (Catedral del Buen Pastor), a neo-Gothic masterpiece at the heart of the city.

From there, we admire the beautiful architecture nearby before strolling down Calle Salamanca, a quiet street leading us toward the sea breeze. We then enter the lively Old Town (Parte Vieja), full of history, local charm, and picturesque narrow streets.

Next, we enter the Plaza de la Constitución, the heart of San Sebastián’s Old Town and once the site of bullfights. Look closely and you’ll notice numbers above the windows of the surrounding buildings—remnants from when the balconies served as private viewing boxes. Today, the square is a lively gathering place filled with restaurants, bars, and cultural events, representing the perfect blend of historic charm and modern local life.

Along the way, we visit the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Chorus (Koruko Andre Mariaren Basilika) with its richly adorned Baroque façade.

As the sun continues to shine, we follow the Boulevard, where the sounds of live music fill the air, leading us to the grand San Sebastián City Hall (Ayuntamiento), beautifully set beside the sea.

We continue our walk along the breathtaking Playa de la Concha Promenade, with its white balustrades, beachgoers, and clear summer skies, ending our tour with panoramic views from the scenic Monte Igueldo, offering a stunning overlook of La Concha Bay and the entire San Sebastián city.
