We head to the Royal Palace of Madrid to witness a true spectacle: the Solemn Changing of the Guard at the Royal Palace!
Hoy nos acercamos al Palacio Real de Madrid para presenciar un verdadero espectáculo: ¡el Solemne Cambio de Guardia!
A once-a-month event, the Musical Unit inaugurates the Solemn Changing of the Guard. Classical melodies and military marches fill the atmosphere. Fifes and drums accompany the marches as the guards stand at attention, with soldiers entering and exiting, weapons at the ready. Lancers and cuirassiers parade alongside rifle companies, and soldiers, both men and women, man the artillery and ammunition wagons for nearly an hour. In total, 400 people and 100 horses reenact the Changing of the Guard as it was performed during the reigns of Alfonso XII and Alfonso XIII, wearing the same uniforms.

Lanceros y coraceros desfilan junto a fusileros, carros de artillería y municiones durante casi una hora. 400 soldados y caballos recrean el cambio de Guardia, con sus uniformes clásicos, tal como se celebraba en los reinados de Alfonso XII y Alfonso XIII
