🇪🇸 Valldemossa, Deia & Palma Sunset Cruise! #mallorca #travel
Join me on a delightful Sunday adventure (0:02)! I started my day in comfy shoes, ready for a hike in the mountain town of Valldemossa (0:08-0:23). I even got a little confused, thinking “Mosa” might have something to do with Voldemort (0:44)!
The Charming Village of Valldemossa
We explored the village, marveling at its ancient roots. It was founded by Arabs in the 10th century (1:36-1:40), which explains the stunning, old architecture! The mountain views were incredible (1:54). We even saw a very old church built in the early 13th century (2:12-2:17). A highlight was definitely getting a super light and airy pastry (2:34-3:32) – it was a sugary, doughy treat that gave me energy for the day! We also visited the house where Santa Catalina Thomas lived (3:48-4:11), a truly inspiring figure. I even got to see an old laundry trough and spring (4:53-5:01) – imagine doing laundry like that!
Hiking and Breathtaking Views
Next, we went on a hike through olive groves. I learned about the expensive local ham, which costs €220 a kilo (5:46-6:00)! We hiked along the Cami Deia, which means “peaceful hike” in Catalan (6:12-6:17). The landscape was absolutely amazing (6:32-6:38), offering 360-degree views (6:38-6:45)! We even saw a white building in the middle of a valley (7:26-7:28) that Michael Douglas bought 35 years ago (7:37-7:39)!
Exploring Deia and Sweet Treats
We then ventured into the beautiful town of Deia (8:52-8:55), where we explored colorful streets and even visited a cemetery (8:59-9:01). The views from up there were truly beautiful (9:53-10:15). Of course, a hike isn’t complete without a snack (10:28), so I enjoyed a banana split gelato (10:32-10:34) while Miriam had her “Creo Aromosa” (10:44-10:45) – cream chocolate cherry!
Sunset Cruise and Grand Yachts
The day concluded with a surprise sunset cruise (12:37-12:50)! I was so excited to be on the water as the sun was setting (12:56-13:00). We saw some incredible boats, including one that looked like a pirate ship (13:06-13:12) and even some mega yachts that cost millions of bucks (15:06-15:13)! It was a truly unforgettable day filled with beauty, history, and delicious treats!
