Riding East: Trevélez to Laroles | Sierra Nevada Part 7
Welcome back to Part 7 of my Sierra Nevada motorcycle adventure!
After a refreshing break in Trevélez, the highest village in mainland Spain, we get back on the bike. The road doesn’t go any higher, so we continue east along the southern slopes of the mountain.
This section is an easy and beautiful ride through the Alpujarras, passing through Juviles, Bérchules, Mecina Bombarón, Yegen, Válor, and Mairena.
I take a moment to stand on the pegs to fully appreciate the scale of the valleys below. By 11:30 AM, the temperature rises to 32ºC (90ºF) as we reach Laroles.
This village marks a turning point in our journey: we are finally leaving the southern face and heading North towards the eastern slopes.
