Great recommendations in this video, also because there is one for every wallet. For wine fans that have a tight budget there are areas that produce inexpensive yet good wines. By example, a lot of wines from Chili have imho still a great price-quality value. The same goes for Alentejo in Portugal, Saint Chinian and Côtes du Rhône (France) and often overlooked Soave in Italy. Look also at sauvignon blanc and pinot noir from New Zealand and entry rieslings from Rheinhessen, Pfalz and Nahe. The same goes for middle class grüner veltliner in Austria. Christmas always seems to take me to Portugal for wine with its rich and velvety whites and powerful reds there´s just something brilliant about it. There´s also nothing like being warm by the fire with Brunello di Montalcino and for that Le Ragnaie has to be my favourite producer.
