Valencia (Spanish: Valencia) or Balencia (Catalan: València) is the center of the Autonomous Region of Valencia and with a population of 809,000, it is the third largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona. It is the third largest metropolitan area in Spain with an estimated population of 1.7 to 2.3 million people. Valencia has the conditions of world cities. The port of Valencia is the fifth largest port in Europe and the largest port in the Mediterranean in terms of container handling, with a transaction volume of 4.21 million.
Valencia was originally founded as one of the Roman colonies. This city is located on the east coast of the Iberian Peninsula, next to the Turia River and above the Gulf of Valencia in the Mediterranean Sea. With approximately 169 hectares of historical lands, Valencia is considered one of the great historical centers of Spain, this historical and cultural heritage has made this city one of the popular destinations for tourists. Among these works, we can mention the Cathedral of Spain, Serrano Towers, Lonja de la Seda (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1960) and the City of Arts and Sciences.
