Uninvited Guests. Episodes on Women, Ideology and the Visual Arts in Spain (1833-1931)

The Museo del Prado offers a reflection on the various roles of women in the context of art and culture in 19th century Spain, in this temporary exhibition on view until March 2021.

Carlos G. Navarro, curator in the 19th century painting department, accompanies us through the diverse themes addressed, including the official discouse, bourgeois ideals or works of women artists.
