Fake Wine Ring Busted by Spanish & Vietnamese Police
Authorities in Spain and Vietnam, along with Europol and Interpol, have dismantled a fake wine operation selling counterfeit bottles of top brands. The investigation, known as Operation Epigraph, began when a Spanish tourist noticed a suspicious bottle resembling La Rioja Alta and brought it back for analysis. With high-end wine prices rising, counterfeit wine scams are becoming more common, especially in regions like Bordeaux. This latest bust highlights the ongoing fight against wine fraud.
