Hello! I’m Bryan and my girlfriend Karen and I left our jobs back in June of 2024 and have been traveling full-time ever since. We spent the Summer of 2024 road-tripping across the United States in my 2015 Subaru Impreza (named Pearl) before heading over to Europe in the Fall. In this video, we continue our journey across the U.S. picking up in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains!
After our brief (but still long-distance) detour during our lap around California to explore the northern coastal Redwood trees, we made our way over to some pretty incredible country to see some trees that are no less impressive and some rugged yet beautiful mountainous terrain. What we saw in the Sierra Nevada range was nothing short of breathtaking. We spent several days exploring Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks and we were floored; towering mountains and canyons, MASSIVE Sequoia trees and lush back country made for an amazing experience.
It’s worth noting that, at the time we were in the Sierra Nevada, there were several wildfires that were happening around California and we were not far from one, called the Coffee Pot fire. Wildfires in the Sierra Nevada are a common occurrence every year and we talk about that a bit in this video as well. Our thoughts are with everyone who was and continues to be affected by these fires.
As I’m posting this, we are not far removed from some devastating fires that happened in Los Angeles. The footage in this film was from August of 2024 and in a different part of California. Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent LA fires as well.
We have a ton of content from the rest of our time from last Summer traveling the U.S. and the Fall in Europe on the way!
