On 16 March 2025, Gandia celebrated a festive day in the form of the traditional award-giving ceremony and the parade of Fallas commissions in the old town. The event took place at Plaça Major, where the 23 Fallas commissions of the city gathered to be awarded as a gesture of appreciation for their work and creativity during the Fallas celebrations.

The celebrations began with a procession known as the “bautizo fallero” (Baptism of Fallas), which started at Teatre Serrano and ended in Plaça Major. During the procession, the commissions marched with enthusiasm, handing out sweets to the masses and openly flaunting their Fallas spirit. The carnival atmosphere was lifted further by the playing of local bands and the excitement of the participants, which portrayed the essence of Valencian culture.

The awards ceremony awarded prizes to various categories, including the Festival Musical Infantil, Cavalcada, Escena Ecològica, and Falla Escena LGTBI. The Ninot Indultat (the best Fallas figure not burned) and the best local critique were also awarded prizes. The Fallas monuments, both child and adult, were awarded their prizes divided over several sections, from the fourth category up to the Sección Especial, all for imagination and artistic quality.

This day holds special significance in the Fallas of Gandia because it is used to celebrate the dedication and hard work of the commissions. Awards ceremony and procession are eagerly looked forward to by participants and spectators because they highlight the community and celebratory aspects of the events further.

El 16 de marzo de 2025, Gandia celebró una jornada festiva con la tradicional entrega de premios y el desfile de las comisiones falleras por el casco antiguo. El evento tuvo lugar en la Plaza Mayor, donde las 23 comisiones falleras de la ciudad se reunieron para recibir sus premios como muestra de agradecimiento por su trabajo y creatividad durante las fiestas falleras.

Las celebraciones comenzaron con el “bautizo fallero”, que partió del Teatro Serrano y finalizó en la Plaza Mayor. Durante el desfile, las comisiones desfilaron con entusiasmo, repartiendo dulces a la multitud y haciendo gala de su espíritu fallero. El ambiente carnavalero se animó con la música de las bandas locales y la ilusión de los participantes, que reflejaron la esencia de la cultura valenciana.

La ceremonia de entrega de premios otorgó premios a diversas categorías, como el Festival Musical Infantil, la Cabalgata, la Escena Ecológica y la Falla Escena LGTBI. El Ninot Indultat (la mejor figura fallera no quemada) y la mejor crítica local también fueron premiados. Los monumentos falleros, tanto infantiles como adultos, recibieron sus premios, divididos en varias secciones, desde la cuarta categoría hasta la Sección Especial, todas ellas por su imaginación y calidad artística.

Este día tiene un significado especial en las Fallas de Gandía, ya que se utiliza para celebrar la dedicación y el trabajo duro de las comisiones. La ceremonia de entrega de premios y la procesión son esperadas con gran entusiasmo por participantes y espectadores, ya que realzan aún más el carácter comunitario y festivo de los eventos.
