LA RIOJA ALTA GRAN RESERVA 904 TINTO 2010 VINTAGE
A review of this classic vintage.
La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 Tinto 2010
Clear, medium garnet color with a medium plus to pronounced aromas of leather, earth, black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, cedar. Pronounced flavors of black cherry, red plum, leather, forest floor, cinnamon, and cedar. Long finish with medium tannins.
Of the foods we paired with the wine the aged Manchego cheeses and carnitas with mole’ sauce seemed the best. The chocolate in the mole sauce really lit up the fruit flavors in the wine and the wine lit up the chocolate and spices in the mole’. This wine would also do well with red meats or game on the grill and obviously a chocolate dessert.
Buy some and lay it down for another 10 to 15 years or enjoy it now! Around $75 US

HEY!! So good to see your face! Looking good and love this! Way to go!! ~T&M
That looks like a wonderful wine and I don't know enough about Spanish wines. I would have liked seeing the food spread you had to go with it. I see some cheese in the background. 😀
