Cycling to Cap de Formentor: Mallorca’s Most Iconic Route (4th Attempt!)

We’re back for another epic cycling adventure in Mallorca – this time, taking on the stunning route to Cap de Formentor for the fourth time!

Sounds simple? Not quite.

Attempt #1: Julie BONKED hard.

Attempt #2: A car rolled over and blocked the road!

Attempt #3: We made it… but only with a little help from e-bikes.

Now, it’s time for redemption. No motors. No excuses. Just our road bikes, leg power, and sheer determination as we take on one of Mallorca’s most iconic – and unforgiving – cycling routes.

Can we finally reach the lighthouse without incident or assistance? Tune in to find out how we handled the challenge this time!

If you’re planning a holiday in Mallorca, searching for the best things to do, or chasing your next big cycling adventure, this video is full of inspiration. Soak in the rugged coastline, epic climbs, and the unbeatable thrill of road cycling in paradise.

  1. Great to see you both with miles and smiles. Julie you are never last there is always someone behind you just haven't seen them yet! More early am rides in our future I hope. Have a wonderful adventure! Bunkie

  2. One day I’ll get to do Cap Formentor for myself for real. I’ll have to settle for watching you guys doing it. The yeh ha moment was classic, Julie’s ears were burning Mike. Great to see you so well, Julie.

  3. Great to see all your freezing cold early mornings have paid off – a lesson for all we late risers. Magnificent example of can do determination from Julie, too. Re the car drivers, I'm guessing the majority on that route are visitors too, in hire cars, and importing their bad habits and attitudes to cyclists.

  4. Excellent stuff as always and well done on conquering those climbs 👍
It must be great being out on the road with so many other riders too!

  5. Hi guys, I was up at the lighthouse this morning but I don’t leave the breakfast table till nearly ten so it was warm and sunny. Lots of traffic though. Buses and cars jamming the switchbacks coming home and so many cyclists.

  6. Mike, when you mentioned "stripping off," I thought you were gearing up to promote your new OnlyFans channel. Seriously, I love you guys. And Julie, I am so pleased that you have made such a remarkable recovery. All the best to you both.

  7. Flying out in the morning and staying in Puerto Pollensa, and plan to bag this one again. Did it last year early in the morning to avoid the traffic, at 8am the road is empty and far less stressful
