The Mercado de la Cebada is one of the largest markets in Madrid. It is located in the Plaza de la Cebada in the Latina neighborhood.
Since the 16th century, there has been a set of open-air stalls located in the Plaza de la Cebada at the location of the market. At that time, the Puerta de Toledo was one of the entrance doors to the city and products from the provinces entered through it.
It is a place frequently visited by tourists on their tour of Madrid; a few blocks from the main square.
