In this video we check out Merida’s San Sebastian & Ermita neighborhood. Which I was told was one of the best neighborhoods in Merida to live because it’s safe and has cheap and good food available. A tour of the neighborhood where you can also get ideas of the best things to do or things to see when traveling or living here.

Great stuff!
I agree too, great historical context of the area. Bests
This is the real Mérida – you forgot to mention Hanal Pixan?! Excellent video!
Great video but just to clarify – in Merida "Gran Plaza" is a shopping mall in the northern part of the city, the main square you mention at the beginning of the video is "Plaza Grande"

I lived in San Sebastián for a week about 2 months ago. I like the neighborhood. And my cat is from there! I found him on the street and was told by a family who was feeding him outside that he'd been homeless in their neighborhood for about 2 weeks. He is simply adorable and has brought so much to my life! Now I have 2 cats and a dog. 😄
My place in San Sebastián was pretty neat. 2 bedroom with a dipping pool. You had to walk through one bedroom to get to another.
I like that San Sebastián felt like you were taking a walk through time. Even with some of the old cars parked on the streets. I have live in 7 places in Merida and 1 in Progreso in the past 3 months. For me San Sebastián had the oldest feel. I also lived in Santiago which is in the Centro area too.
I am going to Merida later this month. How far is this neighborhood from the main area of its town down?
