Festival Fever in Sicily: San Sebastian & Giarratana Adventures!
What a few days! We dove headfirst into authentic Sicilian culture at not one, but TWO incredible festivals. First up was the magical San Sebastian Festival in Palazzolo Acreide – the atmosphere was absolutely electric with locals celebrating their patron saint in the most beautiful way. Then we discovered the surprisingly delightful Giarattana Onion Festival (yes, you read that right – and it was AMAZING!)
Join us as we explore these authentic local celebrations, taste incredible food, meet wonderful people, and experience the Sicily that most tourists never see. This is exactly why we fell in love with life here!

Well it must be Sunday if you guys are posting. Brian with the hoodie. Hard to believe it was cool enough to have it on. Looks like this is the first week in a long time where you guys didn’t do any work. Good for you. Thanks for the entertainment Have a good week.
Thru you two I get to learn more about my Sicilian heritage, not religious but that blowing up the church thing was pretty cool! Thank you for sharing ❤

oh Beth, I'm so jealous of the slice of pizza. the porchetta looked delish too. I'm a big fan of onions so would have loved that festival.

We went to the church for the night fireworks, not as good as last year's, but the cemetery fireworks this year were amazing.
