Inside Gaudí’s Genius Sagrada Família & The Heart of Barcelona 🇪🇸
This is a part Barcelona place. Oh my gosh. Oh, look at this. Used to be called House of Bones. Time for bones. Always something. Really good. You like your pomegranate seeds? Very spicy. Mhm. You like your cheesy fingers? What’s going on, guys? Open. Open sesame. All right. What’s going on, guys? Multi back with another adventure. We have the lovely Pia. Hi. Hi. Not the automatopia that all we know. But her name’s Pia. She’s from Germany. We’re in Barcelona. You guys already know I’m traveling around the world. And right now I’m in Europe and for the next 3 months I’m going to 14 different countries. And right now we are in Spain, Barcelona. Today we have something very special, a structure that Gotti himself built in lovely Barcelona. And what name was? Sakraia. Sakra Familia. So we’re heading out to right now. Um, it’s been it’s been in the works since like 1882. So, yeah, this is still going and it’s year 2025. Year 2025. So, we’re going to go check this out, go on more adventures around Barcelona. And yeah, this is uh this is the start of the video. So, um whatever you saw at the beginning in the intro, enjoy it. And if you guys want to go see extra random stuff that I did, go look at my Asian videos back when I was in uh Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan. But uh let’s get to the video, guys. Wow. So, right off the train station, right right out of here, guys. I did not know we were that close. So, we’re going to already start this off with the big one, two, three. This is just too impressive. Wow. Yeah. Good. Very pretty. Oh my gosh. As you can see right here with the crane, it’s on its last tower that they’re building. Look at this. He’s moving right now. Damn, that is too freaking beautiful. So, supposedly there’s about like going to be 18 towers and finishing this project. But sadly, God himself is often not to see it. But he is um he’s in a crypt in here and um that’s where he is located now with his body. But yeah, we’re going to go inside and I think we’re probably going to go up a tower as well. But yeah, this is going to be quite quite the experience. What are you doing? Bring it behind the scenes. Well, we um we made it here to the other side, guys, and we have to wait, like I said. But as uh we’re waiting as we’re waiting Gosh, I’m getting begged for money. I can’t I can’t do this right now. I’m going to walk over here. I don’t want to be for money right now, guys, while I’m trying to explain this. But this other side where we were was hop skip over these towers. But damn, this is humongo. My goodness. So, in about probably 35 minutes, 30 minutes, a little bit longer, that’s when we will finally be at the top of this thing. slash inside. So, yeah, let’s uh let’s just keep looking at it beauty. [Music] Are you hot? We’re fanning ourselves, guys. This is a pretty hot day today. So, anyways, we made it. We made it inside. There’s a bunch of bunch of people, but we made it inside the gates. So, right here to the left is uh one of the part of the triangles that um this one is supposed to be representing Joseph and then on the right is supposed to be mother Mary and then the middle right up here is supposed to be lovely Jesus Christ. But one really cool thing that I was very curious about that um I figured out um is that see these holes in the bell towers right up there? Yeah, those holes right there. Gotta himself wanted this to be like his organs to go throughout the whole city of the music. And specifically those holes, they uh amplify the organs playing. But I don’t think he realized how much of a big city this would become. So, um, of course, you can’t hear it throughout the whole city. There’s too much going on. But I thought that was pretty clever. That’s what he wanted cuz he wanted it to be like a musical. So, it’s hot. I think we’re done being outside. We’re going to go check in the inside. Is there anything else you want to say? Fan away. Fan away. Oh my gosh, guys. All right. So, this is definitely beating Prague’s Basilica, which you guys have seen my my past videos, but this is just too good. Wow. magical 100%. All right. Um, definitely can get you pretty dizzy staring up there and feel like your neck’s going to snap. But yeah, uh we’ve been sitting here listening to these audio guides about this place. And um what’s really cool, I highly recommend the audio guide cuz they actually show like a drone blasting you up through this tower right here and it goes up and up and up and up and up and up and up and that’s pretty impressive indeed. Um of course, uh we have the lion and we have a bull. Um, we just have a bunch of different things in here. Uh, one unique thing is we’ll probably zoom in right now right over there. But, um, that is actually one of the sayings. Um, you know, Mother Mary, uh, give us our daily bread as we forgive those who trespass against us. It’s, uh, one of those Christian Christian, um, prayers. So, I have that right there. That’s going to be actually the main entrance to this place once it’s fully completed next year. And that’s what Gotti wanted everybody to come in because that is actually facing the sea. So, I think we’re done sitting down. She is taking her pictures. But we’re probably done sitting down. We’re going to probably walk around and then after that we will go to Oh my gosh, that that’s beautiful, guys. That’s that’s that’s gorgeous. But we’re probably going to go to one of the top of these towers, take a elevator shooting us up. That is just impressive. Congratulations, Vi. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see this, but this is too freaking good. That’s a All right. So, um, we can’t go down here, which I thought we could have, right? Cuz before this clip, I was going to tell you guys everyone at the top, but first we’re going to go down to the crib and we’re going to go try and check out where Gotti is um resting. Um, so actually, we can’t go down there, which is kind of sad. and wish wish we could, but um yeah, they had that closed off, but that is uh one of the major things that he actually got to see before his passing be completed and uh knowing where he was going to rest. But I did not know this guy got actually hit by a That is actually a very sad history. But this is um pretty impressive. Right. Yeah. Let’s Let’s get Let’s Let’s get to the top of the tower. You a good sign. Almost. Almost. Okay. Per usual, we’ll get there. We will get there. Uh but first you will need you need to walk a bit more to reach the bridge which is between the two towers and there you can find information with the audio guide. Um, also with the augmented reality experience, if you point your phones to the towers, you will get additional information. And during the way down, the last part, it’s a bit narrow because is the spiral staircase. If you have any trouble, please uh use the emergency buttons that are located along the way to Oh, yes. And enjoy. Get this way. Thank you. All right. Here we go, guys. Up to the top we go. But damn, this is sweet. Wow. Yeah, this is uh 100% worth it. I would say that is uh too good. Too good. Wow. All right, we’re going to we’re going to keep we’re going to keep walking through this. Wow. Down. Can you see it? So, it says up this is a bell tower, right? Yeah. Wow. Okay, guys. We’re just going to keep walking down this phone. Okay, so we are finally down the last and final steps of this. But wow, every step counts. Every step counts. Every step counts when it comes down uh going around the world. So, we’re done. That was a good time. That was beautiful. Um extremely hot here in Barcelona as it should be in Spain. We got to go down this. But that’s it, guys. Another another check right off the list. So, let’s go. Uh let’s go to the next destination. Get on. Get there’s this is like New York City. This is just way too overcrowded. Turned into like a room. Like a Roma. So, we made it out of the the subway. Um, now we are standing in front of uh Gotti’s last residential building, which you can go inside, but it’ll cost you €29. It’s going to cost you €29. Um, we already saw pretty much one of the most impressive things I’ll probably ever see here in Barcelona. But as you can see, people they’re walking and they’re looking out from the top, which the top um actually looks really freaking beautiful. Um see if I get to it. Look at this, guys. I don’t know how well that’s coming out for you guys, but it looks pretty uh pretty interesting. So, if you want to see that on another YouTube channel, go right ahead. I won’t mind as long as you hit that like button. That’s cool. But just the outside of this architectural masterpiece. Let’s just go. It’s too good. Inside to see like just see. Okay. All right. Let’s go and see how far we get in like without having to pay for it. That’s normally what I do anyways. You guys know that. So, yeah. I guess we’ll uh say we’re going to go in the building. Well, I made it inside the restaurant. This is probably the best we’re going to get. As you can see, the ceilings are really pretty. This is gorgeous. And then Oh, yeah. Whoa. Wow. Inressive. But yeah, I don’t think uh I think this probably going to be it that we see. Wow. It actually would be really nice. Probably is worth €29, but not on our bucket list. No, not not today. We already saw a pretty pretty amazing thing. [Music] Gracias, amigo. Well, anyways, um we’re done. We had the lovely uh empanadas at last month. That’s what we ate last month. And now we are heading to Kasa Bacho. Kasa Bacho. So, pretty much we’re just probably going to walk past these buildings, look at the architecture. You guys can look at those with us. It’s uh pretty interesting what we’re about to see. Of course, I’ll say the names of it one more time in front of you guys, probably to give you a slight little bit of history about it. But, we’re just walking, enjoying our day in Barcelona. So, we’ll probably uh catch you in the next clip once we get there. It’s me dropping the glasses per usual. Pop these suckers back on my face. There we go. Anyways, we have made it to Bat. Uhhuh. Batlo. Macho. Macho. I’m not sure how to pronounce it. B A T L L O. Batlo. This is uh the wonderful building right here, guys. I’m going to zoom in. Right. Meow. So it’s pretty unique. Um Batlo he um hired body in 1907 he hired him to complete this architectural building. But we’re going to get a little bit closer. We can cross right now cuz we’re like in Vietnam as usual. But as you can see at the very top right there, it’s supposed to be the spine of a dragon. Used to be called House of Bones for the first two forests. And then at the very top, they’ve Gotti finished it with um a spine of a dragon. So, we’re going to get a little bit closer for you guys. And here we are. We are right in front of it. Now you can’t see the roof, but now you can see the bones. Very different. She’s taking her her pictures herself. But yeah, this is uh pretty nice. So, we’re about to probably go down the block. I think probably to the left down here. And we’re going to check out the next. I think this one looks nicer building. Sorry. This one looks nicer than the one before. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You guys, let me know in the comments which one you think is actually better. But I like this one a lot. Well, we have Miss Pia with her sun bar. this umbrella. But we’re in the center of Barcelona, guys. We have made it to the park. Um, this park is surrounded by beautiful buildings, of course. It’s called Plaza de Kata Luna. So, what’s really special about this place? Like I said, it’s surrounded by wonderful fountains. We have pigeons galore. Look at these kids just feeding them all. And it’s just full of energy like it’s it’s amazing. You have uh walks to Laser Ramblas to Laser Ramblas and um Hi D Gracia and just uh plenty of different places around Barcelona. So we made it to the most central part. Um, also they have like festivals and things like that, I think. But yeah, it’s it’s pretty damn freaking hot. I’ll say it again. It’s pretty damn freaking hot. And um yeah, it’s just we’re going to probably walk around this a little bit longer, head to somewhere else. Where? I don’t know yet. But um they got pretty pretty good buildings. I mean, look at this one. That’s uh pretty impressive indeed. Going down. Come on. The other one. Okay, I’m done. [Music] We’re back. We took a little probably about 2 hour break. It’s been really, really hot. So, now we’re at the lovely market, guys. So, right here, this is uh St. Joseph. Um, this is the name of this market. We got people taking pictures. We got our meat. We got pretty much probably everything you could possibly think of. Where Where’s Pia? We don’t have Pia. There she is. She’s back. I’m back. So, um yeah. What do we got? Just bunch of fruits. Very beautiful. Gorgeous. Chocolates, macaroons. Hola. Oh, and now we have some candy. I don’t know. Let’s just keep walking. Not all of it. Two. Uno. Oh my gosh. Oh, look at this. Okay, this looks like a uh salty nut. Do not know which one this is. This looks like a cashew, guys. Very good. Like a caramel. This one right here. And back to the nut. But thank you. That is very good. Yes, sir. But no, this is a a pretty nice nice market. It’s actually pretty big. Look at this. I bought something, guys. I don’t know if you guys could tell what I bought. I mean, I have burritos, churros, nachos. I know some tacos. Take a guess what I bought. We bought nachos. So, um I already did dig in already. I’m going to have another one. All right. Meow. Look at that. Extremely good. Come down here and try Porto Latino. Drop some napkins. But do you like it? Mhm. Really good. You like your pomegranate seeds? Very spicy. Mhm. You like your cheesy fingers? [Music] Okay, we’re just going to We’re going to enjoy this, guys. See you next clip. Did you film me taking a photo? Yeah, he’s taking a dump. Oh my gosh, look at this. This is a cute little store, guys. What? They have these little miniatures of guys taking dumps and and females, too. Look at this. That is too funny. Thank you. Oh my gosh, that is cute. As the donkey. Wow. Well, I guess that’s only in Barcelona. What is this? English. English. English. That’s a mini story. This talk about the tradition behind. Oh, really? Okay. Well, anyways, um so these are all actually handmade. Um it’s a very traditional uh thing here to have. But um yeah, that’s pretty much what it’s saying. Um if you guys want to stop and and back and read all that, you can. But um this is dating back to like the 18th century, like it says. But that’s funny. [Music] Oh, okay. All right. Well, that’s uh political stuff. Not not get into that one. But anyways, this is a really cute little spot. Um, if you want to come down here in Barcelona, it’s right where the market was. Um, down uh the boulevard. Okay. So, yeah. Next place. I don’t know. We’ll see. But that was a cute store. Plasan Nova. The new new square. This is the new square. And what about it? It was founded in 1358. Um, until the 14th century, the area remains undeveloped serving as their tea market. That’s a hay market. Yes. Hey. Hey. So, we’re going to actually walk through here. I hear somebody singing. Everybody stopping. So, let’s go check out this person. But yeah, this is uh Barcelona. [Music] [Music] Wow. [Music] [Music] I’m loving it. This is too good. [Music] So down there guys is where the woman is of course singing her beauty and giving her magic to the world. But we have made it to a Barcelona cathedral. Here we go. Look at this beautiful thing. There is no comparison to what we actually saw earlier. But this was created in year 1,598. So this is uh very very old. Um there’s also other things that happened like the civil war um happened in Spain. It didn’t get destroyed, but before that there’s a Muslim attack in year like 968, something like that. But other than that, this thing was redone and it is beautiful. We have gargoyles coming out of the sides right here on both. And it’s just an old Gothic cathedral. It’s pretty uh pretty cool. So, um yeah, we’re not gonna be able to go inside, I don’t think. I think uh the last of the last are coming out, but Oh, we could actually go inside. Oh my gosh. Yes. No. See? No. Okay, never mind. All right. Well, I thought I thought we could have, but I guess um maybe they’re having church. So, country is 7:30. Yep. Okay. We we definitely we we missed it. Okay. Um Yeah. So, off to the next place. And that shows exactly the magnitude of how big this place is. So, this is the lovely Aasa Del Ry Ry R EI. R EI guys. So, um, look at this. So, um, this definitely is still part of the medieval era of Barcelona. Um, I guess King Aragon would have his knights, um, pretty much chill out here and watch over this whole entire beautiful place. I want to say, um, that this is like pretty much stepping back into the 14th century. Like, this is pretty amazing. and walking down these little like these little walkways, every corner I turn in Barcelona, there is a street performer just everywhere. So, yeah, this is uh this is pretty nice, guys. Really pretty. Look at this. And out of all the places I’ve been to in Barcelona has the most street performers that I’ve I’ve noticed. Right. Have you seen like a lot of street performers here? You would say? Yeah. Like a lot. A lot. Every corner pretty much. Literally every corner. And it’s really really amazing. So yeah, another piece of history, another clip to this video. So yeah, let’s uh let’s keep going. [Music] Always something always something going on. But yeah, just enjoy this view. Another street performer, guys. Here we go. [Music] Christmas. [Music] Well guys, um I think that’s uh that’s it for the video. Um that was a good day. Um just hanging out with a lovely P, the German, another German. Um, we went to see what you guys just saw. Uh, Sigrada Def Familia. Um, we’re here at night just enjoying it. Gentleman over here was playing um some violin. Um, I don’t know how well the camera screen is right now, guys. I don’t know. Oh, let’s uh clean that clean that off. Yeah, a little bit better. Yeah. But um yeah, this is uh this is it for the video. So, if you’re watching this in the morning, have a good morning. If you watch this video at night, have a good night. And if you the viewer are watching this video in the middle of the day, have a good day. Um, ciao. Peace. Adios. Until next time. Until next time, guys. Peace. [Music] [Music]
