As a local who is five generations out of three rivers California, let me give you the things to know. Not some foreign person. When you come through three rivers, California show respect to the town. Dont trash our rivers and behave like it's your home. We love all outsiders. If you do decide to adventure on some back road, 90% are 1 lane roads so dont be that person, or you will go off the cliff and join others. Dont climb on hospital rock. That is a sacred indian spot. Rich native history in those areas so show respect for the culture. Dont take pinecones. Yes, they are very large and awesome to have in the house. Sadly, it's illegal to take. That's how our forest grows. Please help us grow by admiring them on the ground. Dont climb over blocked off trees or areas. Enough damage has happened due to a lack of brains. Once again, admire them how they are sorry if the photo is what you want. Also, FIRES are the best thing for the sequoia tree. That's the only way that it can reproduce itself. So when you see a tree that has a giant hole burned inside it trunk, you are looking at the seed pod of the tree that exploded during a fire.
Vehicles 🚗 over 22 feet not recommended to visit giant forest from ash mountain entrance. Use big stump entrance on kings canyon side!
As a California native, spend as little time in Fresno as possible.
