Barcelona New Year’s Eve 2026 🎆 | Plaça d’Espanya Countdown & Fireworks

Barcelona welcomed 2026 with a spectacular New Year’s Eve countdown show at Plaça d’Espanya, one of the city’s main public celebrations. 🎆
This official event featured a large-scale audiovisual show combining music, light, pyrotechnics and drones, set along Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina and the Montjuïc area, creating a stunning backdrop for the midnight countdown.

The show was created and produced by Groupe F, an internationally renowned French company known for designing major public spectacles around the world. The original music and sound design for this edition was composed by Marc Parrot, a Barcelona-based musician and producer, blending traditional Catalan sounds with modern electronic music.

The performance was designed as a symbolic journey inspired by the four elements — air, water, earth and fire — representing culture, celebration and renewal as Barcelona rang in the New Year together.
