How to Hike the GR221 Dry Stone Route in Mallorca https://youtu.be/pB1rFD-5AnU

Four full days of hiking. Since it was early in the hiking season, none of the huts were open yet so I slept 3 nights in my tent and 1 night in a hotel to recharge batteries. There were only a handful of other hikers doing the full traverse similar to me but hundreds of cyclists on every paved road on the Island.

I carried everything for the trip with me and felt super efficient with both the production and thru-hike. Weather was perfect with a puff jacket needed for the chilly mornings waking up in my tent and shorts for the rest of the day. I’m growing fond of these early Spring Island hikes with this Balearic trip following previous ones like Canary, Azores and Madeira.

It felt so good going at my true pace, experiencing Spanish Island culture and escaping the bitter NYC winter cold for a week. I’m feeling good and excited to share not only this video with you all but this return to a format that started this whole thing. Thanks for supporting me and I hope this helps you follow in my footsteps and hike the trail yourself.

  1. 4k version and it looks like full HD on my 27inch iMac in full screen :-/ . Even the nerd stat is not available, so i can't find out the bitrate.. But the content is awesome as usual Kraig! Thanks

  2. Using a stove in a hotel room is not a good idea ☹. You risk setting of the fire alarm in the hotel and in worst case you risk carbon monoxide poisoning.
