The Long Ride Home: Granada to Lisbon – Sierra Nevada Finale (Part 11)

Welcome to Part 11, the Grand Finale of my Sierra Nevada motorcycle adventure!

It’s time to head home. We start at 8:40 AM in Granada, gearing up for the long haul back to Lisbon.

The ride takes us back through Andalusia, and as we approach Seville, the “Oven” turns back on with temperatures hitting 35ºC by 10:30 AM. Navigating the eternal roadworks of the Centennial Bridge reminded me why I love being on a bike.

Crossing the border into Portugal, we hit the A2 highway past Beja and aim for Lisbon.

In a poetic twist, the trip ends exactly how it started in Part 1: filtering through heavy traffic on the 25 de Abril Bridge due to an accident.

From 40ºC valleys to 2,500m peaks, thank you for following this 3-day adventure!

Subscribe and stay tuned for the next journey!

  1. Sevilla is hot in the summer. But the official Andalusia's Frying Pan title goes to Écija 😅 Anyway 31º is not real heat, when was this recorded? I live in Madrid and it's been rainy and cold for two months!
