San Sebastian Spain 🇪🇸 Old Town, Pintxos & La Concha We Almost Missed Everything!
We were running late… like really late.
Rushing through San Sebastian Spain 🇪🇸, we almost missed our La Concha Beach walking tour—but what followed turned into an incredible day exploring San Sebastian Old Town (Parte Vieja), local history, and the world-famous food scene.
From the views along La Concha San Sebastian to the story behind Miramar Palace and the former casino turned San Sebastian City Hall, this city is packed with history you don’t expect.
We also explore the Basque Country Spain culture, walk through Old Town, see the Basilica of Saint Mary, and experience the unique tradition of private social clubs. And of course… the food.
Trying pintxos in San Sebastian is a must. From small bites to incredible local dishes, it’s easy to see why this is one of the food capitals of the world.
We wrap up the day passing the iconic Hotel Maria Cristina, crossing the Urumea River, and discovering the completely different vibe of Zurriola Beach. ✅Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next as we continue our journey to Paris France 🇫🇷. We wrapped up the night back at the hotel, trying to get some work done (with questionable WiFi 😄), and planning our next stop…Paris 🇫🇷 is up next.
👉 Sometimes the days you almost miss… turn into the best ones.

Well done Michael!
Beautiful city!
Thanks for taking us along! ❤
The Tamborrada of San Sebastián celebrates the feast day of its patron saint on January 20.
But the origin of the festival is intrinsically linked to the Napoleonic occupation and is based on a satirical tradition related to the French troops:
Tradition tells that, during the French occupation (1808-1813), Napoleonic soldiers paraded through the city playing drums. The people of San Sebastián, in a mocking tone and as a form of pacific resistance, began to bang on barrels and pots in response to the soldiers' parade.
That is why drummers dressed as cooks playing barrels and others as soldiers playing drums are the two main "factions" of this celebration.
Para nosotros los vascos ,es como para vosotros los texanos
Thanks for showing us around the city. Even if you never go, this is a great video for showing someone around a new city in Spain.
