La Guardia Real se dispone a recibir al Papa – The Royal Guard prepares to welcome the Pope.
Diversas unidades de la Guardia Real se dirigen desde la Plaza de Oriente por la Calle Bailén hacia la Plaza de la Armería del Palacio Real de Madrid, donde tendrá lugar la recepción oficial al Papal León XIV en el inicio de su visita a España.
Al llegar a la Plaza de la Almudena, parte de esas unidades (la Sección de Motos, la Escuadra de Gastadores, la Unidad de Música, el Grupo de Honores y la Sección Hipomóvil de la Batería Real) se disponen en dicha plaza, delante de la Catedral de Madrid, antes de entrar en la Plaza de la Armería y esperar ahí la llegada del Pontífice.
Por su parte, el Escuadrón de Escolta Real continúa por la Calle Bailén para ir al encuentro del Santo Padre y acompañarlo hasta el palacio.
Various units of the Royal Guard are marching from the Plaza de Oriente along Calle Bailén towards the Plaza de la Armería of the Royal Palace in Madrid, where the official reception for Pope Leo XIV will take place at the start of his visit to Spain.
On arriving at the Plaza de la Almudena, some of these units (the Motorcycle Section, the Sappers Squad, the Music Unit, the Honour Guard and the Mounted Section of the Royal Battery) take up position in the square, in front of Madrid Cathedral, before proceeding to the Plaza de la Armería to await the arrival of the Pope there.
Meanwhile, the Royal Escort Squadron continues along Calle Bailén to meet the Holy Father and accompany him to the palace.
